Bright gold translucent color with small white head and nice messy lacing. Aroma is piercing, citrusy and grassy, with slight vinous fruit notes and a little alcohol tingle. Flavor is intensely hoppy, resiny and piney, with a candy sweetness, and a faint earthy, malty finish. Mouthfeel is a bit oily with fairly evident alcohol presence, but still easy to drink. Was $12/4pk which a bit much, but fair considering the abv.

can; clear, amber color; piney hop aroma; a big, hoppy, bitter beer; lots of bitter, piney hops and pine resin; enough malt to keep it balanced; slightly sweet malt in the background; finish is bitter

Nice aromas with plenty of juicy citrus, resin and fruit notes with some sweet malts. Flavor was a bit of a let down, the sweetness of the malts dominated the hops. The purpose of IIPA’s is to showcase hops, malt bombs defeat the purpose.

Pours a three finger white head that fades slowly leaving some lace. Crystal clear amber color. Good carbonation and medium body. Pine hop nose and flavor is balanced with caramel malt and pine hops - good thing the IBUs are 115. Best by Jul 2015. $3.90 for a 12oz gold can from Colonial Spirits Acton, MA.

Tall thin 12oz can courtesy of markwise pours with a crystal clear copper body that supports a nice full tan head of foam. The modest aroma offers up malty sticky pine sap notes, some malt sweetened floral hops, a dash of grapefruit, a biscuit sort of maltiness and then a sliver of booze. The taste begins pretty smooth with malts and initial hints at the hoppiness. Then quickly resiny pine sap hoppiness and booze burst to the surface followed by some mild and sweet biscuit malts, grapefruit citrus hops and floral like hopiness. Pretty solid and the booze is there and that’s just fine for me for the style as this pushes the envelope some.

Can. Pours crystal cleary golden orange, large creamy off-white head that dissipates slowly with nice lacing. So far so good. Aroma is pine, spruce, citrus, some dankness. Flavor is medium sweet, full on bitter, resinous, some citrus and sugary biscuit. Medium body, oily. This is a beast with a harsh harsh finish that starts enjoyable and ends hard to swallow.

355 ml can from Premier Gourmet. Pours a clear orange colour with good-sized whiteish head with solid retention. Aroma is dry with tropical fruit, flowers and pine resin. Flavour is fairly rich with sweet pineapple, lychee and grapefruit zest, slightly spicy resin and a bit of floral hoppiness too. Slick mouthfeel. Very little bitterness in finish. Impressive.

Good fruity and floral fragrance. The taste is well hopped, fruity and bitter. Quite so heavy bitterness that fills the mouth for a long while. For bitter for me to like it. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.

Four pack o cans. Greedy cheap bastard them there sixpoint accountants. A lovely deep amber That glows. Thinner oily head. Strong biting nose of floral hops. Body is substantially sweeter than the nose led me to believe. More hops less malts. If they ever.start that occupy wall street thing again , I’ll walk around with a flag that says that.
