COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
It’s been less than a year since we released our four core beers in cans, and we’re ecstatic to announce a new addition to the flock. This isn’t a seasonal release, like the Autumnation of last fall or Diesel, still going ’round this winter. It isn’t our upcoming spring seasonal can, either. It’s a never-before-released, big beer in a slim, 12 oz. can with a potent burst of hops and as strong as an ox: Resin. We zeroed in on the botanical structure of the hop cone to get to the essence of this beer. When hops are at their peak maturity, their cores swell up with a sticky, golden, resinous substance that is the flavor you crave from an IPA. WIth an IBU of 103 and ABV of 9.1%, Resin can be loosely described as a double IPA — but rarely do Sixpoint beers adhere to any strict style demands.

Pine, citrus and caramel, poured a golden/Amber with an off white head and good lacing. Nice floral citrus with a resinous bitterness. Good mouthfeel only a hint of the 9.1%

This beer looks the part of a DIPA, glowing orange with a tan head when poured out into a glass. Immediate hop aromas after pulling the tab, the more canned hoppy beers the happier I will be. Definitely a pine profile to the smell, also some citrus as well as some definite alcohol. As for flavor it is very sweet, but without being gross and cloying. The hop profile shifts to floral as I drink it, with a bitter aftertaste. Hints of licorice and oranges as well as alcohol vaporizing off the tongue. I love the mouthfeel, thick with restrained carbonation. Dry finish but a bit sticky on the lips. This was from a 12 oz can drank four months before expiration date. Overall really good DIPA, especially at its price point and ease of finding.

355mL can. Pours cloudy golden with a small white head and a sweet tropical aroma, nothing fantastic though.Big piney resinous flavour hit with a big bitter backing which is tempered by the mass of sweet malt.

Pours a hazy orange with about 1’’ of white head and decent lacing. Aroma is resin, pine and a strong malt sweetness. Taste is bitter but there is a fruity sweetness that keeps it a little balanced. Medium to heavy bodied, syrupy and with a semi dry finish. Not bad but nothing really shines. I actually think there is too much sweetness.

Can. Pours a deep bright orange with minimal head. Nose is all hops! Big pine as well as citrus and resinous hops. Almost smells syrupy. Taste has chewy hops leading a lovely bitterness that lasts. Very full mouthfeel. A big beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Just a massive dose of hops with extra hops, and no flavour to go with it. Good, if you like that sort of thing, but I like a bit of complexity to go with my hoppiness.
