COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Itís been less than a year since we released our four core beers in cans, and weíre ecstatic to announce a new addition to the flock. This isnít a seasonal release, like the Autumnation of last fall or Diesel, still going íround this winter. It isnít our upcoming spring seasonal can, either. Itís a never-before-released, big beer in a slim, 12 oz. can with a potent burst of hops and as strong as an ox: Resin. We zeroed in on the botanical structure of the hop cone to get to the essence of this beer. When hops are at their peak maturity, their cores swell up with a sticky, golden, resinous substance that is the flavor you crave from an IPA. WIth an IBU of 103 and ABV of 9.1%, Resin can be loosely described as a double IPA ó but rarely do Sixpoint beers adhere to any strict style demands.

Aroma of resin, pine, with notes of citrus. Pours a cloudy amber with a lasting white head and abundant lacing. The taste is much the name - resiny. Medium body and crisp carbonation. Resin also describes the mouthfeel. Overall, very enjoyable. Not the throat ripper I was expecting. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

The aroma is a mild, gentle citrus that fades into a surprisingly pleasant astringent piney scent. The color was a basic amber. The malts really come at you along with the hops then it all smoothes out quickly. Itís a very drinkable and tasty dipa.

From can. Poured two cans into a 22 ounce pilsner (I was feeling adventurous). Aroma is almost immediately overwhelming. Strong resin (duh) and pine. Tastes of pine and lemon. However, the citrus is just underwhelming enough to balance the piney hops. Pours a golden, almost opaque amber. Surprisingly crisp and drinkable. Fair amount of head with adequate lacing. Definitely would recommend for those who like a more bitter IPA.

I was almost overwhelmed by the resin smell when I first started to pour into a Spaten Stange glass (which for me tend to make many beers taste better) altho the next one Iíll try a Tulip glass. I usually like creamy but not over the top IPSa"s - for my first one this has almost TOO much of a finish .. it doesnít - goes on & on !! With some food and/or snacks it would hjold up.

Tap, hazy copper with an off white head. Big hop aromas with lots of pine, earthy and herbal notes. Not for beginners, big hop flavor and the abv comes through in the body of this one in a way that makes me wanna say you could cellar a bottle of this for a year or two and that would do it some good. Crisp bitter finish decent beer.

Can. Pours a copper color with a thick foamy head. Nose is sticky and piney. Palate is thick and sticky. Flavors of light pine and sticky malt notes. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From the can. Aroma is pine and bitter hops with noticeable sweet, caramel malt. Taste is heavy on the pine with lingering hop bitterness and a heavily sweet malt backbone. Coating mouthfeel. Enjoyable malt heavy IIPA.

Resin seems to be a lot of itís name . From aroma to taste the Hop flavor and aroma is strong and sticky! Pours a oragish yellow , some what cloudy. nice white head. Nice hop aroma. Taste is of a nice sharp hop, well rounded. Mouth feel is great. Aftertaste bitterness is very nice. Wish I had gotten more than 1 can!!!!!

Flower, citrus, and pine in the aroma. Flavor starts sweet and a little bready. Heavy citrus and pine bitterness in the finish. Lots of flavor but great balance and the alcohol is barely noticeable. Another really good beer from a really good brewery.

On tap at Taco Mac. Cloudy amber pour with foamy head and persistent lacing. Clean hop aroma. Taste is citrusy (grapefuit) and a little soapy. Finish is very dry with the grapefruit lingering on the palate. Not a bitey as I was expecting for 103 IBUs, balanced well with the malt. Overall, an enjoyable DIPA. Sixpoint has a cool video on their website explaining the backstory on this beer.
