COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Itís been less than a year since we released our four core beers in cans, and weíre ecstatic to announce a new addition to the flock. This isnít a seasonal release, like the Autumnation of last fall or Diesel, still going íround this winter. It isnít our upcoming spring seasonal can, either. Itís a never-before-released, big beer in a slim, 12 oz. can with a potent burst of hops and as strong as an ox: Resin. We zeroed in on the botanical structure of the hop cone to get to the essence of this beer. When hops are at their peak maturity, their cores swell up with a sticky, golden, resinous substance that is the flavor you crave from an IPA. WIth an IBU of 103 and ABV of 9.1%, Resin can be loosely described as a double IPA ó but rarely do Sixpoint beers adhere to any strict style demands.

12oz can pours a golden color with a bit of head. Mild over ripe apple flavors in the hops. Noticeable alcohol.

Nose has a soft hoppy profile with citrus and floral notes. A surprising initial hit of bubble gum as well! This is a very smooth, integrated and subtle double IPA. The hop profile is tasty but understated with no one hop taste element standing out. Subtle malts as well. A nice enough drink, but I canít find the 9.1% abv or 103 IBUs anywhere.

Slim can poured into a snifter. Aroma not overpowering, some pine backed up by a mixture of floral and fruity, that I wish were more upfront because it is a rather appealing smell. Balanced IIPA taste, nothing comes out and whacks you on the palate on its own. Slightly sticky palate, malt backbone on the dry side of the middle. Overall a pretty good beer, drinks rather easy for a IIPA. Not a showstopper, but pretty good.

Itís a good beer but a standard beer (what an age we live in!) The flavor and hop character are nothing to write home about. I prefer their Bengal by a long shot.

Pour from can. Nice orange color with good white head. Aroma is lots of pine and hop resin - of course. Taste is the same, resin, pine, hops. Light bodied, alcohol is well hidden. Nice beer.

APPEARANCE - 1FH that lasts, good lacing. Clear, amber. AROMA/SCENT - Hops, pine. TASTE - Hops, pine. MOUTHFEEL/PALATE/TEXTURE - Good carbonation, dry, bubbly, clean, light, crisp. VALUE - $8 for 12-oz. can. Could be worse at a bar. OVERALL/DRINKABILITY - Good, clean Imperial IPA. Lighter than, and goes down easier than Hi-Res.

Pours a clear copper with off white head. Light lacing present. Thereís a pine, fruit, citrus, and caramel malt aroma. Medium body that was chewy and sticky on the palate with a decent bitter finish. Flavorís of grapefruit, pine, caramel, lemon, and bread.

Can. Clear orange colour with a small white head. The aroma has strong toffee notes, with oranges and pine. The flavour is sweet caramel, bitter oranges, pine. Long final with a lasting bitter impression. Nice.
