3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Can: Poured a deep hazy orangey color ale with large foamy head with good retention and some light lacing. Aroma of pine and resin notes with sweet malt base. Taste is a nice mix between some pine and resin hoppy notes with some solid malt backbone with quite a lot of sweetness. Body is quite full with great carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Well done though I prefer My IIPA a bit more dry.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
355 ml can. Shared with _angst_ and Marsiblursi at The Rover on April 22, 2012

Hazy golden color, medium yellow to orange head. Fruity, hoppy, alcohol, sweet, sugary scent. Malty, sweet, bitter taste. Sugary, sweet, hoppy, bitter aftertaste. A bit moussy mouthfeel. Fairly high bitterness. Warming alcohol. Burping hops after. some cheese when it warms up. A bit boring, but at least not intensly bitter. Alcohol too evident for me to have a full can on my own, split 3 ways was just enough for me

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Can shared @ The Rover. Pours tiny hazy golden with a small bubbly white head that quickly dissipates without leaving much trace. Smell is sweet and metallic with grass, orange peal, caramel, toffee, ripe plums, apricots, honeydew melon and clear notes of alcohol. Taste is sweet with alcohol, pine, grass, honeydew melon and freshly cut grass. Mouthfeel is boozy, sharp and medium bodied. Finish is tiny sweet and bitter with pine, grass, melon, unripe tropical fruits and alcohol. Way too boozy, tastes like someone dropped a shot of vodka in the beer before serving.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Purchased at Armanetti’s in Chicago, IL; enjoyed on a relaxing Sunday during a 3 day weekend. Appearance a bright cloudy gold with a rich, frothy white head that laces to the glass. Aroma of fresh, slightly acidic hops, kind of has a dirty aroma, slightly bready malts also come out in the nose. Taste is pretty good, can’t really tell it’s a 9% ABV brew, citrus note hops dominate the palate, but there is a balance from the malt as well. Also a bit of grapefruit/pine in the flavor as well. I really like the design of the packaging, which is what drew me to purchase this. Pretty good stuff.

The mouthfeel is astringent, soft and tiny sticky with a light carbonation. Lingering and aggressive resinous and citric finish. Medium bodied.

Energy can @ home. Hazy, golden orange appearance with a fluffy white head. Earthy, light citrusy, a touch piney, light minty aroma. Somewhat resiny, a bit piney, light grapefruit citrusy, a bit sticky flavor. Pretty good.

Can sent from puzzl, thanks! Biscuity base, nice dense and floral hoppy nose. Big hoppy body, lemon and lime notes through the fierce bitterness. Green and lush. Aggressively hopped and gorgeous. Not at all boozy. Tastes amazing!

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a beautiful clear amber with off-white frothy head. Not a whole lot of smells, but it definitely got some pine in there, and a sweet note of malt. Lots of pine in the flavour, orange peels and grass are obvious too. More sweet caramel malt. No disturbing alcohol. More refreshing than most double ipas, and overall pretty great. + More pine.
