COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Itís been less than a year since we released our four core beers in cans, and weíre ecstatic to announce a new addition to the flock. This isnít a seasonal release, like the Autumnation of last fall or Diesel, still going íround this winter. It isnít our upcoming spring seasonal can, either. Itís a never-before-released, big beer in a slim, 12 oz. can with a potent burst of hops and as strong as an ox: Resin. We zeroed in on the botanical structure of the hop cone to get to the essence of this beer. When hops are at their peak maturity, their cores swell up with a sticky, golden, resinous substance that is the flavor you crave from an IPA. WIth an IBU of 103 and ABV of 9.1%, Resin can be loosely described as a double IPA ó but rarely do Sixpoint beers adhere to any strict style demands.

Amber in color with a nice off-white head. Aroma is of pine, tree sap, must, and grapefruit. Taste is of caramel, grass, resin, pine, and toffee.

funny shaped can thanks to DoubleSunshine610, appreciate it man. Bright orange color, good head and lace. Smells sticky like hop oils, the name resin is appropriate. Taste is quite resinous but not quite a West Coast, very balanced yet very hoppy and not a malt bomb like a lot of east coast DIPAís. All in all a nice beer and Iíd like to get a couple more cans to get a good feel for this. Serving type: can Reviewed on: 06-05-2012 04:16:39

Poured a cloudy golden orange of a skinny can. Initial flavor is strong hops, but it mellows surprisingly quickly. I read 9.1% alcohol on the can, but is very well disguised (a good thing, and a dangerous thing). I want more. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Dig the can. Looks like something I could put in my kids lunch box. Darkish yellow pour with medium head. Pretty piney on the nose which never works well for me. Not bad but countless number of better options makes this a one and done for me.

Smells grassy and piney with subtle hints of apricot and orange blossom. Taste is a bit more fruity with sweet apricot up front, some carmel flavors build towards the mid, but the resiny hops come in to clear out the sweetness on the finish. Nice easy mouthfeel, not too grippy for the IBU.

Tap at Mellow Mushroom, Spring. Pours a decent orange with a nose of wet hops, pine, and light grapefruit. Flavor is biting orange juice and grapefruit. Average mouthfeel. Not bad.

12 oz can - pours clear orange-yellow with massive, rocky, white-tan fully lasting head. Big notes of piney citrus, resiny orange, and fragrant hops. Taste is sticky orange and citrus, lots of pine, with juicy bitterness at the long finish. Medium-full bodied. Not a IPA biter, but totally tasty. Will enjoy again.

(12oz can, courtesy of thirdeye11) Pours a clear yellow body with a medium white head. Aroma of pine, orange, and grapefruit. Flavor of pine, caramel, orange, and biscuit with a dry, bitter finish.

Hoppy aroma with a hint of lemon. Strong hops but still well balanced. Cloudy pour with very little head. Has a little bite from the high ABU. Very refreshing D IPA.

From the can. No head, nice light golden color. Pine note at the front with a typical IPA flavor in the back end. A nice IPA overall.
