COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
It’s been less than a year since we released our four core beers in cans, and we’re ecstatic to announce a new addition to the flock. This isn’t a seasonal release, like the Autumnation of last fall or Diesel, still going ’round this winter. It isn’t our upcoming spring seasonal can, either. It’s a never-before-released, big beer in a slim, 12 oz. can with a potent burst of hops and as strong as an ox: Resin. We zeroed in on the botanical structure of the hop cone to get to the essence of this beer. When hops are at their peak maturity, their cores swell up with a sticky, golden, resinous substance that is the flavor you crave from an IPA. WIth an IBU of 103 and ABV of 9.1%, Resin can be loosely described as a double IPA — but rarely do Sixpoint beers adhere to any strict style demands.

Can 355 ml from Bier-Bienne (CH). Orangy beer all in bitter aromas, also fruity of orange and dry apricot. The mouth is round, soft, immediatly overwhelmed by bitterness in tizzy, pine, citrus, resin and oil. Hints of alcohol, pepper, toffy, sticking. Focus on the hop, without stopover, low shades in taste, aptly named.

Pours dark orange with a fluffy white head. Strong dry hop flavor with strong grapefruit notes. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Canned. It pours a hazy amber beer with a creamy head. Caramel and quince throughout. Leafy. Nice balance between malt and hops. Good bitterness.

A great dipa! poured from a growler. Head is about 1-2 fingers that slowly builds up after a pour, bubbles are fairly spread apart but nice carbonation and lacing. Smell is citrussy with a good malt backbone. Taste is citrussy with a hop resinous mouth. Not to biteror grapefruit pith taste. Bitterness lingers but not over the top. Strong but not boozy. Definitely a repeat buy.

16oz draft pours a dark orange color with a nice white head. Aromas of pine, resin, big citrus. Full bodied, bitter, very nice beer.

A very nice double Ipa. Very hoppy aroma with a tiny sweet undertone. Taste was very hop forward, nice citrus bite, this beer lives up to the resin name. Just sits on your tongue lol. A great beer for a hop head.

12 Fl. Oz. Can. Poured cloudy amber with little white head. Aroma is beautifully strong from the second you open the can it hits you like a ton of bricks; in your face piney/citrus hops combined with malts. Taste is super bitter but somehow it works great because it is pretty well balanced with the sweetness of the malts. Great beer extremely enjoyable.

Received in a very nice box today from JxExM.. Thanks a bunch Justin!! Best by July 9th, 2013... I would guess that is pretty damn fresh. Poured into my HotD goblet... 2 finger sorta yellowish head has great retention and lacing... the brew is hop-hazed orange. Huge piney/grapefruit zest hoppiness is sorta muted by a seemingly IMO too big malt profile... plenty of pale malt and lesser toasty maltiness. Bejeezus... bitter, but still pretty inviting... again big piney hoppiness with pithy grapefruit.. finish is sorta lingering floral hoppiness... There is still plenty of malt on the palate, but it is in the background and only helps carry the hops... Somehow this never really becomes a palate ripper, instead it is honestly pretty balanced. Thicker than many DIPA’s but a good carbonation asks for another sip. Thanks again Justin, my tasting group has had these a few times, but I always wanted to give one a proper review.

A good clean beer but to me weak, high ABV and a 103 IBU’s but kind of plain for a double IPA. Good not great.

Cloudy golden in color with a couple of fingers of head that leaves a splotchy lace. The aroma is straight-forward hops with a little grapefruit gliding over all, and the taste is punchy and strong. No sweet undercurrents here, just hops, hops, some malt, and hops. On the exhale there’s a surprising final kick of a somewhat metalic bitterness. I like this.
