COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Itís been less than a year since we released our four core beers in cans, and weíre ecstatic to announce a new addition to the flock. This isnít a seasonal release, like the Autumnation of last fall or Diesel, still going íround this winter. It isnít our upcoming spring seasonal can, either. Itís a never-before-released, big beer in a slim, 12 oz. can with a potent burst of hops and as strong as an ox: Resin. We zeroed in on the botanical structure of the hop cone to get to the essence of this beer. When hops are at their peak maturity, their cores swell up with a sticky, golden, resinous substance that is the flavor you crave from an IPA. WIth an IBU of 103 and ABV of 9.1%, Resin can be loosely described as a double IPA ó but rarely do Sixpoint beers adhere to any strict style demands.

Can pours bright orange with a thin white head. Aroma is huge green, dank, wet pine hops. Flavor is pale grains and crackers with a huge dry pine and resinous grassy hop finish. Damn near perfect.

From can. Definitely pine tree sap, bitterness and malt. Pours transparent light orange with white head. Massive alcohol presence just under the immediate wash of hop resin and creamy caramel malt. Reminds me of Oskar Blues Gubna.

Aroma is pure piney hops. The flavor is pine/grapefruit, tropical fruit and a mix of syrup sweetness and tangy bitterness in the finish. The pine in this was definitely what stuck out and dominated over everything else.

Skinny 12 oz. can pours a hazy light orange with big off-white head and some lacing. Aroma is full of piney and citrus hops, as the name suggests, but with lots of sweet caranmel malts as well. Much smoother and easier to drink than I had expected from a 9.1% IIPA. Has a clean dry finish, as I expected, but this is not an outrageous hop bomb. Mouthfeel is a little sticky, without much carbonation. Medium body. Very enjoyable

UPDATED: OCT 3, 2012 Can. Golden but cloudy (and almost thickunderstand the name). Nose of hop . Taste of nice malt , and lots of hops. Good "bite" at the end.

Good but not overbearing hop strength. I can see why they went with the name resin, but it is not nearly as thick and heavy as most IPAs I would call resinous....also less piney. Like all Six Points I have had so far, an easy drinker for what it is. Crisp clean finish.

Can. Pours clear, very deep gold with white fluffy head that almost refuses to go away. Aroma of malt, fruity esters, hints of hoppy ripe citrus, touch of grass and some floral. Flavor is much the same with a great balance between the malty sweetness and hoppy flavor and hoppy bitter. Mouthfeel is medium-heavy body with medium-high carbonation. Overall, solid brew!

A BlackIPA hookup, thanks G!

Pours a beautiful hazy light orange with an enormous tight white head.

The aroma reminds me pretty much of a more intense Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, the pine, the orange rind, the citrus, the light caramel and graham cracker. All there, but more pungent.

The flavor is nice, very bitter, but not in an unpleasant or harsh way at all. There is a fair bit of grassiness to the hop profile which is otherwise like the aroma piney and full of citrus notes. The alcohol is detectable, about as detectable as it is in many 7%abv IPAs that I enjoy, so itís not an overbearing element. The beer is decidedly not very sweet, not nearly as sweet as I had (for whatever reason) expected. The malt is far more prominent in the aroma but is crisp with light crackery notes in the flavor.

This is very enjoyable beer. Thanks my homie.

Clear orange pour with a lasting white head. Piney resinous aroma with a hint of citrus. Taste is pine, grapefruit, and just a bit of caramel. Great bitterness with just a little sweetness. Slick on the palate. Very good beer.
