COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
It’s been less than a year since we released our four core beers in cans, and we’re ecstatic to announce a new addition to the flock. This isn’t a seasonal release, like the Autumnation of last fall or Diesel, still going ’round this winter. It isn’t our upcoming spring seasonal can, either. It’s a never-before-released, big beer in a slim, 12 oz. can with a potent burst of hops and as strong as an ox: Resin. We zeroed in on the botanical structure of the hop cone to get to the essence of this beer. When hops are at their peak maturity, their cores swell up with a sticky, golden, resinous substance that is the flavor you crave from an IPA. WIth an IBU of 103 and ABV of 9.1%, Resin can be loosely described as a double IPA — but rarely do Sixpoint beers adhere to any strict style demands.

From the can. Light bubbly orange, medium off white head. Aroma citrus and pine hops. Medium body. Some carbonation. Minimal alcohol. Flavor up front is sweet malts and a touch syrupy, then bitter floral hops take over. Good with balance although not too complex and a little shallow. The bitterness lingers in the finish but not so much the actual flavors. All nice and good, not too memorable.

12 oz can from Lizardville Rocky River. Lighter slightly hazy orange pour with a large foamy white head. Pine hop in the aroma and flavor, pretty well balanced. A little underwhelming given the reputation/ratings, but good nonetheless.

Can. A hazy amber beer with a huge yellowish head. The aroma has notes of hops and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, hops, and straw, leading to a bitter finish.

Fat. Doft av citrusfruker. Främst apelsin och mandarin och aprikos. Viss maltighet. I smaken så är humleprofilen mer komplex med tallbarr förutom citrusen. Inte så mycket kåda (resin) som namnet påskiner.

Can at Bishops Folkis, February 2013. A bit hazy orange with a medium white head. Aroma and taste of hops, citrus, orange and some malt. Bitter and easy to drink. Would love to drink a fresh can or two.

@bishops. Inte helt färsk. Men trevlig fruktighet med en stor beska. Vore kul att dricka den färsk. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured from growler. Very large bright white head with amazing retention. Reduces very slowly with good carbonation. Oranges and spruce in the aroma with some light caramel malts and roasted grains. Color is a clear golden orange. Nice hoppy and bitter flavor with more oranges, dried flowers, caramel, tea leaves and some apricots. Noticable alcohol presence and warming. Very smooth and easy drinking. Strong hops presence but is balanced very well by the malts. Only slightly dry mouthfeel from all the bitterness. A very good and well rounded IIPA. And a STEAL at $10 for a 64 oz growler!

UPDATED: SEP 5, 2013 Light cloudy orange with large white fluffy head and solid lacing. Aroma is very citrusy and piney. Flavor has light malts with a sharp sweet fruitiness and finishes with a very bitter grapefruit and perfuminess. Good overall

VALIS (229) - Nashua, New Hampshire, USA - FEB 7, 2013
UPDATED: FEB 20, 2013 Bursting with orange, tangerine scent and a juicy pink grapefruit taste. Plenty of bitterness bite but not unpleasant. Leaves a sticky/sour mouth aftertaste due to the strong citrus flavors.
