COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Itís been less than a year since we released our four core beers in cans, and weíre ecstatic to announce a new addition to the flock. This isnít a seasonal release, like the Autumnation of last fall or Diesel, still going íround this winter. It isnít our upcoming spring seasonal can, either. Itís a never-before-released, big beer in a slim, 12 oz. can with a potent burst of hops and as strong as an ox: Resin. We zeroed in on the botanical structure of the hop cone to get to the essence of this beer. When hops are at their peak maturity, their cores swell up with a sticky, golden, resinous substance that is the flavor you crave from an IPA. WIth an IBU of 103 and ABV of 9.1%, Resin can be loosely described as a double IPA ó but rarely do Sixpoint beers adhere to any strict style demands.

12 oz can thanks to TheBeerSommelier. pours a deep orange with a big 2+ finger off white head - falls to a 1/4" throughout. sweet nose with a big citrus/pine hop aroma. med to thick body with a clean citrus bitterness with some floral notes, dark candy, sweet fruits and caramel malts. sticky finish which coats your mouth in thick bitter goodness. this beer is badass!

Cloudy mostly red (veiwed through sunlight) double IPA. Strong taste reminiscent of grapefruit and lemon. Hop bitterness on the tongue. Finish is dry. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can. Cool packaging. Nice seductive pour ... pure amber, with a bright orange backdrop. The initially big airy head recedes relatively quickly, but displays nice retention on the glass. The beer drinks not unlike many anonymous American pales, not at all like an IIPA ... thereís nary a hint of 9% ABV!? Well, maybe thereís a little kick in the background, but this could seriously sneak up on you, for sure! Sneakingly disguised as a nice, well flavored APA. (#4623, 6/24/2012)

Pours golden orange with a white frothy head. Aroma of gritty pungent hops. Taste is hoppy right from the start. I expected it to be very unbalanced towards hops, but it actually is incredibly balanced. The beer finishes on nice orange citrus notes. Mouthfeel Is smooth and finishes dry.

Slim can, Golden color. Full head that dissipated some. Gigantic citrus/floral hop aroma. I thought this was canned hop flowers at first the aroma was so potent. Heavy bitter. Slight sticky texture. Grapefruit hop flavors. Resin is a good name.

This is an excellent, high quality IPA. The palate is full and rich, the aroma is full of hops and pine, and the flavor is slightly sweet and nicely bitter. It is similar in character to the Bells Hopslam and much more readily available. This is definitely worth trying if you have the chance.

On tap at Oíriley & Conway, pours a golden amber with a thick white head and sticky lacing in the glass, the aroma is of dank wet hops and malt, the flavor punches you in the face with the hops, almost too dank and dark for my liking, was very sticky and thick, mouthfeel was too sticky and thick for myself, nothing special.

12oz skinny can from Downer Wine And Spirits. Pours a deep amber color with a big white head and lots of lacing. Aroma is hoppy, pine, tropical fruit, pineapple maybe. Medium on the palate with average carbonation. Flavor is sweet, bready malt, cereal, hoppy, onion, summit hops, some pine, with a clean, bitter finish. A very tasty beer, but only an average DIPA in my opinion.

Hazy gold-amber color with a nice short head. Leaves a lot of lacing. Aroma is all hop. It smells like a hop plant, itís that fresh smelling. It overpowers everything else except the alcohol. Alcohol comes through.on the nose. The taste is bitter but subtly. Itís not overt. There is also a sweetness that I cannot identify. A general oiliness is present.on the tongue. This beer is really good.
