Itís been less than a year since we released our four core beers in cans, and weíre ecstatic to announce a new addition to the flock. This isnít a seasonal release, like the Autumnation of last fall or Diesel, still going íround this winter. It isnít our upcoming spring seasonal can, either. Itís a never-before-released, big beer in a slim, 12 oz. can with a potent burst of hops and as strong as an ox: Resin. We zeroed in on the botanical structure of the hop cone to get to the essence of this beer. When hops are at their peak maturity, their cores swell up with a sticky, golden, resinous substance that is the flavor you crave from an IPA. WIth an IBU of 103 and ABV of 9.1%, Resin can be loosely described as a double IPA ó but rarely do Sixpoint beers adhere to any strict style demands.

From the can. No head, nice light golden color. Pine note at the front with a typical IPA flavor in the back end. A nice IPA overall.

Nice start with the complex sent of peach mango pineapple grassy earth pine smell. Starts off plain and smooth then bits your tounge with tropical fruits and pine resin. Nice smooth carbonation with a nice clean crisp dry finish. Much different from some of the best DIPA in vt but thatís because it has a malty boozy flat taste just before the finish but done much better the 90 min from dfh. Way to go six point for the first ale Iíve ever tried from you makes me wanna try more.

Keg at Beer Temple, Amsterdam. Netherlands, Wednesday 7th October 2015. Hazy oily gold beer with a clingy white head. Not sure how much resin I get, but these is lots of peachiness. Getting more peach, itís fruity, itís lovely. A8 A4 T8 P4 Ov16 4.0

12 oz. "dynamite stick" can. best by (my calc) 2/10/2016 Blvd. Tulip glass A: Poured hard I was able to coax a 1 finger craggy head. Beautiful almost ruby tinted dark orange/gold color with visible bubbles. Very good head retention and average patchy lace. S: Dry citrusy scent right from the can. Slight hint of wood and sweet pith. Light overall with alcohol peeking through as it warms. T: Fruity like a sour sweet wine and just about as boozy. Apple. Not sure how to describe the complexities of malt except perhaps woody. Tartness is nice M: Heavy bodied with lingering foam washing luxuriously over the lips. Not as resinous as expected. O: This is a beauty to look at in the glass. Strong vinous taste as expected. If all you want is to have one beer, you may be hard pressed to go with one thatís better. Not my style but I find it pretty hard to fault. More aroma would be nice if I must quibble.

Fairly reasonable example of the style, neither too bitter or too sweet. Medium amber with an off white head.

27.09.2015, @beertemple, musluk. Görüntü: bronz, saydam, köpük dolgun ve bardağı sarıyor. Kalıcı olmasa da çekici. Koku: malt, kavrulmuş malt, çam, hafif bal. Kompleks, acı-tatlı aromatik kokular müthiş. Tadım: damakta vurucu, acı bal, reçine, çam yaprağı tatlarının ardından dil ve damaktaki kalıcı acılık çok iyi. Uzun süre damakta tatlar korunuyor.
