COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Itís been less than a year since we released our four core beers in cans, and weíre ecstatic to announce a new addition to the flock. This isnít a seasonal release, like the Autumnation of last fall or Diesel, still going íround this winter. It isnít our upcoming spring seasonal can, either. Itís a never-before-released, big beer in a slim, 12 oz. can with a potent burst of hops and as strong as an ox: Resin. We zeroed in on the botanical structure of the hop cone to get to the essence of this beer. When hops are at their peak maturity, their cores swell up with a sticky, golden, resinous substance that is the flavor you crave from an IPA. WIth an IBU of 103 and ABV of 9.1%, Resin can be loosely described as a double IPA ó but rarely do Sixpoint beers adhere to any strict style demands.

From the can. No head, nice light golden color. Pine note at the front with a typical IPA flavor in the back end. A nice IPA overall.

Perfect all around DIPA here. Citrusy and resiny like the can says, this one will definitely do you right.

Pours golden and clear with a frothy, classic dry-hopped white head. Nose is strong floral hops and citrus and dead-on for the style. Flavor is surprisingly tame for the triple digit IBU but very well balanced between the hops and a big, semi-sweet malt. Finish is a little sticky and still balanced. Not quite as big of a hop monster as Iíd hoped for but still very good.

Pours a very dark amber from a can, big fruity piney hop nose and flavor marries well with the malt backbone. Anyone can make a beer hoppy, but it takes quite an effort to balance it so well. Very good beer.

Koskela (490) - Marysville, California, USA - MAY 2, 2016
Sweet malt and either piny or orange/grapefruit peel aromas come from this haziesh orangish reddish brew with a small white head. The taste is sweet malt with tiny carb bubbles and a bit of hop bitterness but not horrible. The hop flavor is a bit lacking. The aftertaste is sweet with slight bitter. It's medium bodied with slight alcohol warming

Can at home. Well done, but too much going on here including 9% abv. Super slick mouthfeel. Aptly named as resin dominates. Nice citrus/ grapefruit and mango happening as well. On the sweet side- just feels really concentrated. 12 oz is more than enough.

Can. Really drinkable even sessionable at 9.1% but it is a dangerous beer. Sweet malts, roast, barley, earthy hop and bits of citrus. Great stuff!

355ml can from Systembolaget, Hornstull. Clear dark golden with a dense white head that leaves good lacing. Tropical fruity aroma, mango, pineapple, grapefruit and pine. Sweet, velvet mouthfeel. The taste starts fruity, matly and sweet, honey, orange, mango, caramel and biscuit. Finishes bitter with grapefruit, citrus zest, resin and pine. A bit too sweet.

3/IV/16 - 12Fl. Oz. can from a trade @ home - BB: 19/XI/16 (2016-306) Thanks to Brian L for the trade!

Clear orange beer, big aery irregular off-white head, little stable, adhesive, leaving some lacing in the glass. Aroma: ooh, lots and lots of citrus, resinous, hoppy, tropical fruits, caramel, sweet malts, mango. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: sweet malts, very fruity, hoppy, bit sugary, bit resinous, but not as much. Aftertaste: bitter hops, resinous, still lots of sweet malts, citrus, pineapple, mango. Lovely beer!
