COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Itís been less than a year since we released our four core beers in cans, and weíre ecstatic to announce a new addition to the flock. This isnít a seasonal release, like the Autumnation of last fall or Diesel, still going íround this winter. It isnít our upcoming spring seasonal can, either. Itís a never-before-released, big beer in a slim, 12 oz. can with a potent burst of hops and as strong as an ox: Resin. We zeroed in on the botanical structure of the hop cone to get to the essence of this beer. When hops are at their peak maturity, their cores swell up with a sticky, golden, resinous substance that is the flavor you crave from an IPA. WIth an IBU of 103 and ABV of 9.1%, Resin can be loosely described as a double IPA ó but rarely do Sixpoint beers adhere to any strict style demands.

Hops come on strong and pack a punch. Slowly and pleasantly fade to some sweetness. Hoppy sweet aftertaste. Mellow minor head and fairly mellow carbonation. Super drinkable and refreshing considering all the hops. Strong but doesnt slap you in the face too hard ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sampled from tap at íBeertempleí during Carnivale Brettanomyces 2016. Clear, golden amber with a white head. Sweetish, fruity and a bit resiny aroma of mango, orange jam, tangerine and lots of pine, followed by a medium long, rather bitter and resiny finish. Medium to full body, creamy mouthfeel, soft to average carbonation. Good!

Pours an almost clear copper with a small white head. The nose is fairly herbal and dank with soft pine and hints of a big malt backbone. The taste is very rich with big loads of hops but also quite a bit of malts showing, hinting at a less than superfresh can. (About 7 weeks old) The above 9% abv is noticable and is not a contributor to a fresh sensation. Bitter finish and a bitter aftertaste. This is good but was probably a good bit better a month ago. Freshness is crucial when it come to these high abv. ipaís.

Iíve enjoyed many energy drink-sized cans of this over the years. The first time I had it it was like a revelation. Iíd never had a beer this hoppy and complex. In later years Iíve stopped being quite so blown away, but my basic appreciation is still there. Itís fantastic.
