COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
It’s been less than a year since we released our four core beers in cans, and we’re ecstatic to announce a new addition to the flock. This isn’t a seasonal release, like the Autumnation of last fall or Diesel, still going ’round this winter. It isn’t our upcoming spring seasonal can, either. It’s a never-before-released, big beer in a slim, 12 oz. can with a potent burst of hops and as strong as an ox: Resin. We zeroed in on the botanical structure of the hop cone to get to the essence of this beer. When hops are at their peak maturity, their cores swell up with a sticky, golden, resinous substance that is the flavor you crave from an IPA. WIth an IBU of 103 and ABV of 9.1%, Resin can be loosely described as a double IPA — but rarely do Sixpoint beers adhere to any strict style demands.

Can pours a golden amber. Nice fresh citrus hop nose. Slight floral sweetness to the hop flavor, with nice bitterness. Almost spicy finish

355ml can from Systembolaget, Hornstull. Clear dark golden with a dense white head that leaves good lacing. Tropical fruity aroma, mango, pineapple, grapefruit and pine. Sweet, velvet mouthfeel. The taste starts fruity, matly and sweet, honey, orange, mango, caramel and biscuit. Finishes bitter with grapefruit, citrus zest, resin and pine. A bit too sweet.

3/IV/16 - 12Fl. Oz. can from a trade @ home - BB: 19/XI/16 (2016-306) Thanks to Brian L for the trade!

Clear orange beer, big aery irregular off-white head, little stable, adhesive, leaving some lacing in the glass. Aroma: ooh, lots and lots of citrus, resinous, hoppy, tropical fruits, caramel, sweet malts, mango. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: sweet malts, very fruity, hoppy, bit sugary, bit resinous, but not as much. Aftertaste: bitter hops, resinous, still lots of sweet malts, citrus, pineapple, mango. Lovely beer!

Might be my favorite ipa to date. Bold aroma with hops hitting floral, citrus, and pine notes. Pours deep color color with foamywhite head that leaves some lacing after dissipating. Glavor is balanced and not overly bitter. Ahain nicr variety of hops present in taste. Crisp and dry with a stickiness in the mouth. Good stuff.

CAN. Clear golden pour with small flat white head.. Passionfruit & piney hoppy nose.. Good malt stickiness, goes to a solid hoppy middle with a sappy feel, "resin" is a good call.. Sourced Cellarbrations @ Capel

Damn if the sale at Beerworld doesn’t have me transfixed. You bastards. Big but reserved. Everything is in check and wired tight. Heave away...haul away...bound for South Australia! Hop tone low medium and high. Sweet and sticky but still rolling kings. Bound for South Australia. Wow... what a critter... Mickey Rourke barflyesque. This after just one! Lovely...just lovely.

Can pour into nonic pint glass from Julio’s Liquors. Aroma is immediate blast of pine and resin (almost an isopropyl alcohol like stinging) after the pour, but mellows to reveal, citrus and fruit. Appearance is clear, orange amber with minimal sparkle, foamy finger-width head with poor retention and trace lacing. Taste is mild pine to start but is taken over by more bold sweet citrus and tropical fruit with late cracker/biscuit malt character. Palate is medium bodied, with a texture that feels like it coats your mouth and tongue, lively carbonation with a little numbing sensation to the lips, and dry throughout. Overall, some nice complexity and changes that occur over the course of the beer.
