COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Itís been less than a year since we released our four core beers in cans, and weíre ecstatic to announce a new addition to the flock. This isnít a seasonal release, like the Autumnation of last fall or Diesel, still going íround this winter. It isnít our upcoming spring seasonal can, either. Itís a never-before-released, big beer in a slim, 12 oz. can with a potent burst of hops and as strong as an ox: Resin. We zeroed in on the botanical structure of the hop cone to get to the essence of this beer. When hops are at their peak maturity, their cores swell up with a sticky, golden, resinous substance that is the flavor you crave from an IPA. WIth an IBU of 103 and ABV of 9.1%, Resin can be loosely described as a double IPA ó but rarely do Sixpoint beers adhere to any strict style demands.

A resiny hop aroma with notes of caramel and malt. Pours a clear caramel color with a well laced white head. A delicious taste of resiny hops with a hint of sweet malt and caramel. Medium body oily feel with a bitter hop finish.

Translucent orange with sudsy beige head.

Aroma: tangerine peel, bready sweetness, fress grass. Resinous full body with moderately high carbonation.

Taste: citrus oil bitterness, pine resin, orange peel and seeds, nice malty sweetness to somewhat balance.

Poured from a growler on a 100 degree day after taking the girls fishing this morning. Hops and strong which helps kill the fish smell and the worm guts. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at pizza pub in Pine City. Lots of bitterness - good aftertaste and smooth for a big beer.

This one pours a cloudy, slightly orangish color. There was a huge head that dropped off rather quickly and left some lacing. The aroma is good. Tropical fruit and pine notes. Some maltiness coming thru also. The taste is good. Some bitterness and sweetness at the same time. Malts, pine and some tropical fruits. A good brew.

Type: 12-oz. can Glass: Clear half-dinner glass? From: Whole Foods in Manhattan Beach, Calif. Price: $13.99 for a 6-pack Purchased: July 30, 2016 Consumed: July 31, 2016 Reviewed as: American IPA Misc.: Best by Dec. 8, 2016 at 1:42 a.m. ET Good to see Sixpoint finally making its way out to California. Saw this (really Sixpoint) for the first time at a Whole Foods in Manhattan Beach and had to grab it. Initially thought I had tried it before, but it was Hi-Res. This will be my fourth Sixpoint review and all have been fairly solid. Game Hi-Res a 4.36, so expecting this one to be in the same ballpark. Poured a light amber clear color with 1-to-2 fingers of frothy white head. Just a few bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass. Decent spotty lacing. Decent retention. (Sight - 3.50) Smelled sticky candied sugar, herbal hops, light menthol, sticky resin, sugary caramel, pine, mowed minty grass and citrus zest. Really remembering Hi-Res and Bengali with this nose. Not sure of the hops. (Smell - 4.00) Taste followed the nose for the most part. Much boozier. Still that Sixpoint feel (Bengali and Hi-Res), getting herbal hops, light menthol, sugary caramel, sticky pine, rather dank resin, fresh-cut grass, leafy mint and hops (Iím struggling still, but thinking dry Cascade. Many more, but canít put my finger on them). Kind of getting a poor manís Lagunitas Sucks. (Taste - 4.00) Light body. Sticky texture. Average carbonation. Bitter finish. Grew on me as it went down. (Feel - 4.25) This was a pretty good DIPA overall, but nowhere as good as Hi-Res in my opinion. Would have it again (and will with my other five) though. May have overrated this just a smidgen (Overall - 4.00) 4.00 90 A-
