COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Itís been less than a year since we released our four core beers in cans, and weíre ecstatic to announce a new addition to the flock. This isnít a seasonal release, like the Autumnation of last fall or Diesel, still going íround this winter. It isnít our upcoming spring seasonal can, either. Itís a never-before-released, big beer in a slim, 12 oz. can with a potent burst of hops and as strong as an ox: Resin. We zeroed in on the botanical structure of the hop cone to get to the essence of this beer. When hops are at their peak maturity, their cores swell up with a sticky, golden, resinous substance that is the flavor you crave from an IPA. WIth an IBU of 103 and ABV of 9.1%, Resin can be loosely described as a double IPA ó but rarely do Sixpoint beers adhere to any strict style demands.

Can at Bishops Folkis, February 2013. A bit hazy orange with a medium white head. Aroma and taste of hops, citrus, orange and some malt. Bitter and easy to drink. Would love to drink a fresh can or two.

Flural grassy aromas up front followed by some bread dough and a bit of pine and citrus punch. Flavor is very layered with a big bitter start alot of grapefruit followed by a malty bread flavor.

Pour is copper in color. some small head, white, is present. Aroma is floral and Piney in nature, with some spicy, earthy tones as well. Taste is similar, with sweet malts there. Light body, somewhat disappointing.

Huge spongy head. Hops whaft up and smack you in the nose. Bam. Smooth mouth feel a first add the flavors unfold gradually. Leaves a peppery hop residue in the sides of the mouth. I really like this.

UPDATED: NOV 12, 2014 Can from Craft in Red Hill QLD. Smelt great upon pouring with a lovely white frothy head. Tastes of pine, passionfruit and resin with a nice balance of peachy sweetness but not too overpowering. It?s the hop flavours and the great bitterness which impressed me the most almost coming straight on after that initial sweetness. Fantastic beer of course which I?d heard much about but never had the opportunity to sample. A truly well worth it 2IPA . Great beer.

Thick brew somewhat reminiscent of oil mixed gasoline. Heavily bitter with lots of pine and resin. A fair bit of grapefruit on the gorgeous nose. Ultimately a bit too one-sided on the bittering hops and too alcoholic.

Can at Dolphin Hotel, Florida, 9th November 14. Cracked the can and this gives a great floral, pine aroma, you get the resin. The beer tastes clean and the floral hops sing, itís bitter and sweet, but not overly. Lovely DIPA

12 oz can poured into a Spiegelau tulip. Best by May 4, 2015. Assuming their dates are still 9 months from canning, this would be 3 months old. Clear golden orange with 3 fingers of off-white head. Nice webby lacing. Aromas of tropical fruit, hop oils, floral notes, some booze. Tastes of big tropical fruit, floral notes, pine and resin, a bit of stone fruit and orange citrus. Medium body with a dry finish. Pretty nice.

(can - 12 oz) Orange pour with a puffy white head. Sticky hop and pine aroma with some light citrus. Flavor is a big pine bomb right in your face with a lightly bitter hop and citrus middle. Sticky resin finish. The name doesnít disappoint.

CAN 355 ML from CH-303. Look: cloudy orange, off-white frothy head. Aroma: rich malts and hops. The hop profile is sweet citrus and tart fruit with minty cough drop resins, creamy toffee malts. Taste: juicy, string and balanced - tart fruity sweetness, moderate and soft bitterness, s little phenolic spice in the bitter finish.
