COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
It’s been less than a year since we released our four core beers in cans, and we’re ecstatic to announce a new addition to the flock. This isn’t a seasonal release, like the Autumnation of last fall or Diesel, still going ’round this winter. It isn’t our upcoming spring seasonal can, either. It’s a never-before-released, big beer in a slim, 12 oz. can with a potent burst of hops and as strong as an ox: Resin. We zeroed in on the botanical structure of the hop cone to get to the essence of this beer. When hops are at their peak maturity, their cores swell up with a sticky, golden, resinous substance that is the flavor you crave from an IPA. WIth an IBU of 103 and ABV of 9.1%, Resin can be loosely described as a double IPA — but rarely do Sixpoint beers adhere to any strict style demands.

pours from can with small head and a slightly cloudy pale orange color. typical hops in the nose but not as potent as i was expecting also some alcohol. taste is pleasant strong hop flavors of grapefruit and piney resin coming through. quite bitter... ha ha totally in a good way. very good brew and I’ve come to expect nothing less from this brewery.

Slightly disappionted with this beer. It delivers a nice resinous mouthfeel with a pretty straight forward American cirtus/piney hop profile. The aroma is more subdued than expected and the taste, although fairly hoppy, is unbalanced in relation to the extreme lingering bitter aftertaste. Needs more late hop additions!

Can. Almost clear burnt gold with a ton of lacing. Aroma is dank sweet pine. The taste adds super bitter resin notes but, there's also a metallic/solvent bite in the finish. The mouthfeel comes on with a strong attack and bite with high carb and a slick resinous finish. Pretty good but, lacking balance - could be much better and just as "big." ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12fl oz can. Pours a cloudy orange with a white, fluffy, one finger head that laces. Mild sediment floating from the bottom of the can. Aroma is big and juicy. Resin, pine, citrus, and a bit of tropical fruit. Taste is bitter but with a faint, syrup sweetness. Resin, pine, a touch of citrus, and a hint of alcohol taste and warmth. Bitter, resin aftertaste. Medium-full body with a medium carbonation. Mild resin texture in the mouth. Overall exactly what the name implies. Resin, pine, some alcohol. A nice IIPA.

Solid DIPA, very hoppy and bitter with a strong aftertaste, high abv will kncok you back a bit, definitely a solid beer but probably not something I will add to my regular rotation.

Nice touch of grapefruit/citrus, pine, some grass, and solid hop presence obviously. Slightly bitter finish. Solid double.

355ml can. Pours a hazy golden amber, with a small off-white head, which lasts well and leaves good lacing. Grapefruit, pine and mango hops and slightly grainy caramel malt make up the aroma. Potent grapefruit hops up front soften a little into mango leading into the mid-palate. This offers charry and caramel malt flavours, with slightly oily resin hops giving it a bitter finish. A solidly enjoyable DIPA.

Golden pour with white head. Aroma is pine and citrus. Taste adds a little floral. Sticks to your tongue.
