3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Can at Momofuku in Toronto. A surprise to find this on the menu at a Toronto restaurant, as Sixpoint has never had any beer available up there previously - brought in as a private order, I guess. Pours a beautiful clear orange-gold with a snow white head that a lot of lacing. Aroma is excellent - sweet and bready malt, floral hops, a suggestion of lemon balm, all in balance. Crisp and clean body, just as the name suggests. Flavour is lovely, with floral, grassy & all-around snappy hops coming to the forefront without being too aggressively better. Maybe my surprise at finding it in an unexpected place has skewed my rating up by a couple of points, but it’s still one of the best lagers I’ve had in ages.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at 2 Stones pub, pours a slightly hazy mostly clear golden/yellow with a small white head. Aroma of sweet citrusy grassy floral hops, almost perfume. Taste of mild pils yeast, a crisp bitter grassy hops, with sweet hops and dry malt. Nice, a little to much going on for a pils, but tasty.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Can at Fado. Hazy light amber pour with some slight white foam. Does not feel like a classic pilsner at all but has a nice dry spicy lemony hop bite at the end that makes it interesting.
