3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 GregClow (2736) - Toronto, Ontario, - NOV 4, 2012Can at Momofuku in Toronto. A surprise to find this on the menu at a Toronto restaurant, as Sixpoint has never had any beer available up there previously - brought in as a private order, I guess. Pours a beautiful clear orange-gold with a snow white head that a lot of lacing. Aroma is excellent - sweet and bready malt, floral hops, a suggestion of lemon balm, all in balance. Crisp and clean body, just as the name suggests. Flavour is lovely, with floral, grassy & all-around snappy hops coming to the forefront without being too aggressively better. Maybe my surprise at finding it in an unexpected place has skewed my rating up by a couple of points, but it’s still one of the best lagers I’ve had in ages.

Tap @ Tmac, Cumming. Clear, bright yellow. Smells like a CD-Pils. Straw, skunk, pale malts. Taste has a great hop flavor, some straw, hearty malt, full flavor of rich grains. Finishes with a fresh, crisp mouthfeel. Very enjoyable, made to drink out in the sunshine. (3705)

Can poured into glass. Well for a pilsner that came out of a can I was pretty happy with the overall experience. Easy drinking but nothing too exciting.

Not bad. A light orange pour. Aroma of fruits. Flavor is sweet with a light body and a slight hop finish.

Can. This beer seemed entirely anticlimactic to me. It was fairly crisp, as they name would suggest, but was fairly unremarkable. Smelled and tasted much like the run-of-the-mill lagers that are a dime a dozen. Whatever.

Can. Pours a hazy golden copper color with a white foamy head. Nose is light sweetness, honey. Palate is crisp and yet sticky. Flavors of dry malt notes, stickiness.

Strange. I thought this beer was labeled as "The Crisp". What’s with this Sehr business? $1.79 at Top Shelf. Poured from can into a snifter... was I not supposed to? It’s orange; thin white head. Smells and tastes of hard boiled eggs, Pilsener malt, noble hops/East Kent, tapioca, sunflowers, and yeast. Crisp indeed it is. Just not that complex or interesting.

Draft at Redlight. Pale golden pour with a sudsy white head. Grassy hops and pale grains on the nose. Fairly hoppy flavor with pale malts, graininess and touches of metal. Light and easy to drink. Not too shabby.
