3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Can at Momofuku in Toronto. A surprise to find this on the menu at a Toronto restaurant, as Sixpoint has never had any beer available up there previously - brought in as a private order, I guess. Pours a beautiful clear orange-gold with a snow white head that a lot of lacing. Aroma is excellent - sweet and bready malt, floral hops, a suggestion of lemon balm, all in balance. Crisp and clean body, just as the name suggests. Flavour is lovely, with floral, grassy & all-around snappy hops coming to the forefront without being too aggressively better. Maybe my surprise at finding it in an unexpected place has skewed my rating up by a couple of points, but it’s still one of the best lagers I’ve had in ages.

Takeaway can from Wetherspoons. I prefer to take it home and let it warm up a bit, rather than ice cold from W's chiller. But then not much to report: very grapefruit and smooth - but not in a hugely exciting way. The Crisp? No. More like eating soft crisps when the bag's been open for a few days.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Apperance: Clear and golden color with a med. white head. Very carbonated
Aroma: pepper, hay, a bit of citrus, a bit of bread, a bit bitter.
Taste is bitter and dry, similar to aroma in terms of flavors.
Palate: A bit too much carbonation but overall, a good little pils.

Can into pint glass, clear pale golden color with white head. Aroma notes of pale malt sweetness and grassy hops. Taste adds some citrus/herbal tones. Light body, moderate-low carbonation, crisp with light grass/citrus finish. Pretty tasty easy drinking pils.

12 oz can from 6 pack. Pours a bubbly golden color with a slight white head and some lacing. Smells of wheat, barley, and clean. The taste has so much body for a pils. I would classify it more as a hoppy lager. There’s definitely grains up front with barley, wheat, and grass. Then a little lemongrass hits with slight oats and salt flavor. You get the hops on the back side with a nice dry finish. It’s creamy, medium carbonated, and then tongue tingling. Really good lager.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 13/20
Poured a clear gold color with moderate carbonation. The aroma reminded me more of an IPA than a pilsner, with its citrus and piny hop aroma. There was also a faint grassy smell. It definitely lives up to its name as it is super crisp. The taste was mostly hoppy bitter with mild spiciness. I found it to have a somewhat unpleasant bitter aftertaste.
