notalush (2075), Rawn-kawn-kohma, New York, USA Mar 20, 2005 This is my favorite one out the four sixpoint products I’ve tried - cloudy and nearly black - frothy, capuccino-like head - aroma is nutty, with notes of plum, brown sugar - barely any smoke in the aroma or flavor, but that’s alright ’cause this sucker is tasty - robust, chewy chocolate and caramel malts - just a slight roastiness, but nothing I would call smokey - gimme some more! GregClow (2350), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Oct 13, 2006 Draught at Jimmy’s No. 43, NYC. Deep almost-black with a tan head. Excellent aroma of dark malt, coffee and smoke. Similar notes in the flavour, along with a bit of toffeeish sweetness. Very nice, full mouthfeel. Awesome! beervana (782), Libertyville, Illinois, USA Dec 5, 2005 On tap at the Liberty Heights Tap Room, Redhook, Brooklyn, NY. Blacked hued porter having a long lasting off-white head and good lacing. No discernable carbonation. Fresh sweet smelling malt aroma. Medium bodied that starts with creamy sweet malt roastiness, toffee, and coffee and finishes with lingering bitterness. Well-balanced malt and hops. An excellent delicious porter. Aurelius (2507), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Oct 11, 2005 Pitchy opaque. Big dark brown head. Chocolate cake dough aroma. Like a black forest cake in a glass. Chocolate, walnuts, cherry. Dry esters and some banana peel. Super. If you’re looking for off-the-beaten-path beers, make sure you track down a Sixpoint. MaiBockAddict (1499), Good Beer Bar Deprived, New Jersey, USA Apr 26, 2005 Tap NY. dark brown, tan head. Roasty aroma. Big malty roasty flavor. Nice hoppy/roasty finish. This would be a nice drinking pint.
