In short: A very hoppy blond ale with an odd floral spicy character. Good
How: Tap at Three Penny Taproom, Montpelier VT
The look: Partly cloudy dark blond body topped by a persistent small white head leaving lots of lacings on the glass
In long: The hoppy nose has floral hops with a spicy twist and notes of citrus fruits. Taste has a solid but neutral crackery malt backbone, perfect to provide a structured body but leave the floor all open for the hops. Generously hopped, very floral but also with strange spicy notes (ginger, other) that I could feel come from hops. Razor sharp bitterness of medium-high intensity with a bit of acidity. I’m a hophead so I liked the beer because it is very hoppy, clean and well brewed, but Crystal is probably not a hop I really like. It floral and spicy character make it a bit of an oddball. Nothing outstanding, just another decent beer that will make me waste time reviewing on ratebeer, and I often wish I wouldn’t spend so much of my time rating beers but most of all I wish I didn’t spend so much of my time wishing.

A good tasting IPA, on tap at the Great Lost Bear. Lacey, cloudy light orange body. A good hoppiness and good drinker, partially explained by the understated carbonation.

On tap at Mikro. Moderate sweet and citrus hop aroma. Cloudy orange color with a small white head. Bitter beginning with a quick sweetness in the finish and the back to a bitter end

Draft at blue monk, golden pour with white head. Slightly floral nose. Very nice bitterness in the flavor. Slight floral notes, balanced. Nice IPA

Low carbonation. Thin head. Very hazy. Crisp floral aroma. Taste is similar. Slight bitter after taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

pours unclear amber with a creamy tan head. Aroma is light but pleasant hops with a bit of citrus. Flavors of citrus and tea leaves quench the thirst on a hot july day so well. There is a biter dry but smooth hoppy ending on a full body.

Quenching and powerful enough with citrus hop of Grapefruit, some Pine needle and a Golden malt flavor to compete. a bit caustic with some pepper and finishes watery and satisfying. Nice Golden color on tap at Twin Lights Atlantic Highlands N.J. Best Sixpoint brew i ever had.
