3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Can. Sort of an odd one here. Moderately malty, with some grassy character, and a decent bit of hops, sort of floral with some bittering. Not really a cream ale I don’t think, though I’m not sure what exactly it is. But in any case, it’s a nice session beer.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Hazy medium amber with a long-lasting frothy head and splashes of lace. This is the perfect brew to spend an evening with. Call your buddys, do whatever you do, have a few, and...voila! Starts with sweet caramel malt and adds a good touch of hops (hopheads won’t be pleased), and let the two ideas spin around each other through the finish. Solid session beer. Recommended.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
On tap at Sugar Maple. Golden amber with a medium off-white head. Aroma of pale malts, corn, mild hops and a touch of sourness. Taste is kinda bland with middle-of-the-road malt, mild hops and a bit of floral & earthiness to it.

16oz can. Aroma of pale and caramel malts with dough and some light hops. Flavor the same. Average texture. A decent beer for the style.

Two words: sweet and bland! Little "bitter" in aroma or taste. Amber color, with decent body.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Aroma is mildly sweet malts and slight hint of hops. The flavor is sweetish malts and hoppiness in the finish.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Poured from tap, the golden amber color is enhanced by the mild cream colored head. There is a mild hops taste, but a smooth finish. All in all a very balanced and tasty beer.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Can’t tell you how much I appreciate the innovation of pint-size cans, especially on this cream ale, where you just have to fill your glass to the top if you want to avoid any initial disappointment that there isn’t more to enjoy. Soft hops, grassy and sweet, with a milky malt. Unctuous on the tongue, refreshing and quenching. What a great effort.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Poured into a perfect pint.
3.0 A: Moderately hazed dark orange brown color. Two and a half fingers of beige, frothy/foamy head. Retention is average and moderate amounts of randomly dispersed clumps of lacing are left behind.
3.5 S: Bready yeastiness is probably the strongest aspect of the nose. To follow, hops of the earthy, floral, and herbal variety manifest. Mildly sweet, mildly biscuity malts round this out.
3.0 T: Solid blending of the yeast, malt, and hops, but the end result doesn’t impress or discourage. Grainy malts with a moderate neutral malt sweetness. Mild bitterness with earth, herb, and flower hop flavor. Mild yeasty breadiness. Not bad, but run of the mill.
3.5 M: Medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Light, pleasant creaminess.
3.0 D: Not a bad brew, but there’s enough similar, yet tastier ones out there to forget about this.

16 oz. can from Bert’s Better Beers. A nice example of an cream ale. Nice eye appeal in my footed pilsner glass. Gold with full, frothy head. Lots of retention. Lots more hops then I was expecting. However, the brewer’s description is spot on. Semi-sweet malt with a balanced hop. Creamy texture as it should have. It’s nice for the style.
