Draught at Freshcraft. Chocolate and fall spices like anything you get in pumpkin beer. Also strong hints of the chilies.

can. Pours super dark with no head whatsoever. While I am disappointed at the lack of peppery heat, I am overall pleased with the subtlety of the spices. This is basically a solid stout with good chocolate character and a finish that makes me ponder the use of some adjuncts. I get maybe a cinnamon kind of thing hiding behind the chocolate and a bitterness that could be hops, but could also be peppers. It is a good option for a canned brew.

Sampled at an ESBLS tasting. It poured a clear black color with a tan head. The aroma was of chocolate, roasted malt, some peppers and dark fruity esters. The taste was spices, light hops and some bitterness with a sweet finish. Good stuff.

Unique and well worth the effort to track down. It’s got lots of coffee, cocoa, pepper and other spices on the nose. Pours a very deep dark black with a thin head that dissipates very fast leaving very little lacing. Medium bodied and a somewhat oily mouth feel to it. Taste is like dark chocolate, dark roast coffee, ancho pepper and some other minor notes. Goes down smooth and as it warms in your glass more flavors start to come out. Very nice stout and unique.

Bottle. Dark brown with light tan lace. Nose shows peppers, light cocoa, roast. Similar flavor--a little overly peppery to be enjoyed but maybe more
authentic mole. Cool idea though.

Draught. Pours a very dark brown with very little head. Lots of spices in the nose. Hints of chocolate, as well as many things I would expect in Mexican food. A little sweet, a little spicy. Really interesting.

Pours a dark brown/black with a small brown head. Light cocoa and spice on the nose. More complexities show as it warms. A lot going on in the mouth. Nice chocolate in the middle surrounded with just enough spice. Nice beer for Fall day watching football.

amazing, what can come out of a can these days. my only regret: having to leave lunar before the 400 wings came out. creamy, bubblegum, medium, smoke, earthy, astringent, flat, brown, thick, golden

Very dark brown with a light brown foamy head. Very little lacing. Aroma is plums and dark fruit. Sweet malty stout aroma. Oh, pretty light bodied, hit of chocolate right off the bat, then bitter roasted flavor that is pretty flat. If the bitter chocolate could last longer this would be great. Starts off impressing, but fizzles out to average
