Can from Bine & Vine. Pours "black" with a dark tan head. Aroma is very chile. Med body, almost. Flavor is dark malt, chocolate, and chile. Moderately warm chile. The burn is quite light compared to my expectations. It’s a fun drink, and well worth seeking out.

Keg at Coin-Op Game Room, SD, 12/11/14. Black with a decent tan covering. Nose is bitter roast, big green chilli and pepper tones, spice, coffee grinds, chocolate, sweet and sour. Taste comprises light roast, cocoa rub, green peppers, spice, dark fruit rinds, curry leaf. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent stuff for style, retains the characteristics of a stout so I’d have under that style myself, bollocks to the chilli factor!

Jet black, but a coca cola head. Fizz, gone. Beany beany aroma, both coffee and chilli beans. Quite a watery palate, crisp lovely balanced chilli pepper taste, fits in very well with th lovely roast. Nice coffee aspects too. Finiah is interesting, itstarts with a nice gentle chilli heat, then after 10 seconds a lovely stale coffee grounds roast takes over. As that fades, the chilli doesn’t leave you, It doesn’t pester you, but it comforts youand lets you know you’re not alone.
