3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Can:   Black, deep cola hues on the edges, thin head, little to no lacing.   Soft roasted malt nose with a balanced pepper or chiles on the nose.   Sweet roasty start, with a little pepper background.   No real heat, perhaps a touch of chile spiciness that emerges moreso on the backside.   Seems well balanced between the sweeetness, the roasted malts, and the chile flavors/heat (what heat there is, and thankfully very little).   Moderate to full body and mouthfeel.   Chiles and a little bit of peppery heat linger.   Better than expected!

1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Head is initially average sized, frothy/fizzy, brown, fully diminishing.
Body is dark brown to black.
Aroma is lightly malty (chocolate), with notes of detergent and other assorted cleaning products (Lysol, etc.), chile peppers, nutmeg/allspice, plastic (vinyl), shoe polish, pine needles, peppermint, etc.
Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter.
Medium body, syrupy/watery texture, lively carbonation, light chile burn.
Blech. Aroma is a combo of really weird off-notes and of course the vegetal peppers and some holiday spices. Very random and artificial smelling, doesn’t even smell like something you would eat/drink, it’s like something that wafts out of Yankee Candle Company 20 feet from the entrance. Pretty horrific stuff, quite honestly.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pour out of can, dark black pour with off white head, aroma brought notes of big chili, chocolate, nice cinnamon, earth, some coffee, toffee, sweet cocoa, nice balance overall. Taste is nice, a little watery, but nice chocolate, coffee, hints of chili and pepper notes, some cinnamon, toffee, finishing fairly sweet, bitter, and dry, with a slight hint of heat. This works fairly well.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
355 ml bottle @ Pub Kultainen Apina, Tampere.
Pours dark red color with no head. Aroma of spices, some herbs, malts and pepper. Flavour of malts, spices like pepper, cardamum, apple pie, biscuits and some chocolate, faint dry cocoa powder notes also. Dry spicy palate. Weird.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
(Bottle) Black colour with quickly disappearing, foamy head. Malty, spicy nose with notes of black coffee, cocoa, dark chocolate, chilli, ginger, dark fruit and dark chocolate. Malty, spicy taste with cocoa, black coffee, ashes, liquorice, ginger, chilli and a spicy finish with a balanced roasty bitterness. Medium body, with a slight sweetness. Quite sharp carbonation. Strange beer, behaves and tastes like a soft drink with chilli, ginger and cocoa. Lots of flavours, but quite unbalanced and a bit artificial. Weird, hardly and success, but still quite drinkable.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Can and snifter: my third one so I guess I better rate this now... Pours a deep brown with little head but okay lace and oily legs. The nose is roast, Mexican chocolate, Ancho and green pepper, leather, earth, and some grassy herbal hop vapours. The taste is well balanced sweet malts, chocolate, roast, and roast with a nice kick of chili heat. My only issue with this beer is the lack of body but then again it is a 5.5 ABV stout, so I can almost overlook that. Really the guys from Ska need to go over to Oscar Blues and pimp up Ten Fify with these spices. That would rock methinks.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
The beer pours a very dark brown to black color with no head. The aroma is heavy on the peppers, with a lot of the roasted ancho notes coming through strongly. I also get a hint of chocolate and some roasted malt. The flavor is very nice. What really comes through early is some cinnamon and chocolate, as well as a hint of heat from the peppers. I also get some of the earthiness from the chilies as well as some nice chili flavor. The chocolate and chili notes meld very well together, with just the right amount of heat and sweetness. Medium mouthfeel and low carbonation. A very nice stout and I am glad more and more breweries are brewing beers similar to this one.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottled from Systembolaget
Black with a brief, fizzy head.
Spicy pepper and some dry notes of cocoa-beans.
Chocolate, spicies, hot pepper and loads of cinnamon in the flavour.
Burning sensations in both throat and lips. Too much spicies for me...
