650ml bottle from Stewarts Wine Store 010814. I’ve been sitting on this one for a while and I think it has probably gotten better with age. Great big smack in the face aroma that hits you for six.

Bottle. Pours hazy amber with a white head. Aroma is sweet caramel, resin, pine, grass, a bit tired on the hop side. Taste follows aroma with medium sweet caramel and resin, medium grassy and piney bitterness leading to a dry bitter finish. Medium bodied.

Pours hazy golden yellow with a white head. The smell is caramel, citrus. The taste is as it smells with some booze and a crisp bitter ending. Medium body with fine carbonation. A sweet boozy dipa.

Bouteille 66cl @ RBBSG III, courtesy of Benzai.

650 ml. bottle sampled @ RBBSG III. Thanks to Benzai! Hazy amber. Very bitter pine resin the nose, faint caramel & apple. Very bitter & dry pine resin taste, hay, touch exotic fruits, apple, thicker body, very lingering bitterness. Not bad but far too harsh for me.

Pours a cloudy amber color with a thick white head. Aroma is if malts, hops, caramel, leaves and some tootsie rolls. Heavier palate. Favors are of malts, some booze, caramel, hops and grain. Leaves a hop & smokey malt finish. Different. Good.

Very hazy amber beer, small bubbly pale cream coloured head. Palate is light and minerally crisp. Smooth malt, touch of cream. Spicy pine hops balanced by sweet friuts, lesser tropical fruits underneath. Dry aniseed alcohol. Smooth dry finish. A mild marmalade bitter linger. Tasty if just a little rough in places.

13.06.2014, 0,65l bottle @ home:
Nice creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is kind of strange resiny, thinner, pine needles, caramel malts, alcohol, old leafs, harsh hops, bark, sap, soil, citrus peel. Taste is kind of harsh foresty, old leafs, forest floor, pine needles, sap, bark, citrus peel, harsh hops, thinner, caramel malts, alcohol. Longlasting bitterness, dry harsh mouthfeel. Meh!
