3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
In bottle at home. Pours a chestnut, ruby brown colour with a decent beige head. Aroma of toffee, treacle, candy sugar and alcohol. Similar toffee, coffee and candy sugar flavours. Definitely nailed the style.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Meh. Not bad, but certainly not a beer I would run to buy again. Tried this at the Pizza Outback in Taos, NM and it was one of the first SKA beers Iíd ever had. Nutty, of course, but in a pleasant manner. Slightly sticky mouthfeel, some caramel and dark fruit flavors, but the aroma is bland and the beer lacks something that will set it apart. Sessionable.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Clear medium to dark brown amber colour with a small, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, nutty, caramel, light roasted. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from GBBF 2012, drunk at home. Clear deep brown/red colour. Thin beige head. Itís a brown ale. Some brown malts. Not much hop. Not very interesting, but no bad flavours. Fine, if a little uninspiring. It went down pretty fast though. Not surprising as it was the first beer of the evening.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Buster Nut Brown has a fairly translucent, amber-brown color with a very light brown head... not all that great looking in the glass, but I wonít hold that against it. Itís nutty in the nose with a definite yeast character that adds a certain waft to the nose. Iím not at all sold on this, but still... Iíll give it a chance.
In the mouth, itís better than the appearance and aroma let on. Thin, yes, but fortunately the nuttiness isnít overpowering and all flavors are in check with the beerís slim weight. Otherwise, thereís only a faint whisper of roasted malt. Overall, itís pretty flat on the palate. Much lighter than most nut brown ales. Although not offensive, itís actually kinda disappointing.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from BR R - taking that for Beer Revolution. Probably in the frig for 6 months. Pours clear but dark ruddy brown with a slight beige head. Aroma of brown ale type malt. A little hop spice too - maybe even a hint of cinnamon. Med minus body. Itís a bit sweet - not very hoppy. Thereís some lightly greasy nuttiness. And itís finishing very lightly astringent and dry. Something changed there. Fairly tasty.

This was on draft last winter. A decent brown ale with a nut roast and sweetness from malts. Brown pour and off white head overall. It is ok.
