JPDIPSO (4267), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA May 10, 2008 Brown color with a hint of garnet when held to the light. Dirty canvas colored diminishing head. Sweet aromas with butterscotch, sweet coffee and toasted malt. Fairly thin, nearly watery feel. Dark brown sugar and light nutty flavor. Quite watery in taste as well. A touch of roasted malt and iron in the finish. A fairly weak favor and feel all around.
drjay44 (160), Colorado, USA Sep 20, 2008 12 oz bottle. Pours a pleasant tan head, which quickly deflates, rich dark color....nose of mild coffee, toasted malts, some caramel....flavors very mild, with minimal character, some mild coffee overtones, very light mouth feel. Avengedpoet (59), Mesa, Arizona, USA Sep 11, 2008 Pours with very little carbonation, no head to speak of. Aroma is of roast and nuttiness. Taste is sub-par. Too much roast for a brown ale in my opinion. Much better as it warms up. Taste is thin overall. Not terribly objectionable in any way, but definitely not exciting either. cbkschubert (1605), Rattlesnake Country, Arizona, USA Jul 31, 2008 12 oz. bottle from Plaza Liquors - Pours a clear brown color with a 1/2 finger thick off white head that faded pretty quick. Faint spotty lacing. Aroma and flavor is a toasted caramel malt. Light to medium body. Not the best beer, but wortha try. ucusty (1210), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA Jul 15, 2008 Brown pour big beige to off-white head. Slightly nutty aroma. Malty flavor combined with nuts... deeez nuts... wcampbell (432), Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 12, 2008 One of the worst beers I have rated on this site. Absolutely terrible. It tasted like a messed up home brew. Had a strange acidic taste to it. Otherwise weak nutty flavor that was not pleasant. Huge head and lots of carbonation. Nasty finish. Stupid looking bottle made me dislike it even more.
