john_adam2002 (529), Hainesport, New Jersey, USA Apr 1, 2008 Poured amber with an off white head. Aroma of citrus and pine. Typical IIPA flavors throughout. I’m glad I didn’t drink a full pint of this last night after the other. The 10% is well hidden.
scraff (1656), Baltimore, Maryland, USA Aug 20, 2008 22 oz - Purchased at Chip’s @ the OBX. Deep coppery orange, creamy off white head. Soft piney peach aromas ride soft waves of sugary caramel. Moderate tropical and fuzzy fruit hop flavors do well to balance on a syrupy brown sugar malt backbone. Full bodied, medium carbonation, bittersweet finish. Not world class, but certainly worthy of giving it a whirl... PsionSaint (51), Colorado, USA Aug 19, 2008 Excellent IPA that pours hazy amber with very slight aroma. Definite citrus notes in flavor, nice big hops without being overpowering. Only way you know this is an imperial is once you stand up. It’s on my favorites list now. BOLTZ7555 (447), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Aug 19, 2008 Bottle is the most intriguing thing about this beer. Great marketing!!! Just can’t find the aroma...deep, deep, inhales and nothing. Maybe I’m catching a cold?!?!?! Faint citrus (and I mean faint). 24 karat bordering copper pour. Flavor begins with a slight hop bite but quickly moves to sugary. A little thin for the style. Where’s the "Imperial" in this IPA??? benwa420 (43), Aspen, Colorado, USA Aug 10, 2008 almost looks like and amber but once you taste it you know it’s not. Nice IPA. Can’t tell it’s 10% ABV. mabel (1633), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 5, 2008 [1332-20080508] 650mL bottle. Woodsy earthy grass aroma has a bit of boozy malt and mild floral and lots of freshly cut orange hops. Hazy, amber orange body with a long-lasting creamy off-white head with small bubbles and some lacing. Bitter orange earthy hops flavour has a solid base of dull citrus and a finish of lemon water. Medium body has a bitter background. Drinkable and mostly hides the alcohol.
