Bomber. No idea what the label has to do with anything. Pretty, pale marigold orange and an anemic ivory head. I appreciate that the beer is pale, not red or brown as so many 2IPAs are. The nose is rife with tropical fruits and Christmas tree, also toffee malt aroma... but weird plastic and lychee lurk in the shadows. Tastes semisweet and insanely fruity, but not neccesarily hoppy, with a big presence of sultanas and white rum, and hints of orange and MD20/20. Thin razor bitterness and bracing alcohic heft. Creamy without being "thick". The aftertaste combines fruity apple and hot asphalt. Some jagged edges and quality issues throughout. Except for the abv, doesn’t seem especially "imperial".

Bottled. Golden copper. Big hop front. Has a big floral spice hops. Not much of a malty aftertaste but a big hop taste.

Bottle from Rehills, Newcastle. This is a bright orange-amber coloured beer with an extremely rich orange marmalade and tropical fruit flavour, pineapple and burnt toffee notes followed by a sweet fruit and pine finish. Very Nice.

Bottle shared at GBBF 2015, day 1 - London. Thanks! Pours clear orange-gold with a creamy crown. The nose holds piney hops and mellow caramel. Medium sweet flavor, boozy, with piney hops and ripe citrus. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation and chewy texture. Warming finish with spicy pine, ripe orange, alcohol, bread. Little grace to this one.

Scopey (9420) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 24, 2015
Bottle at GBBF 2015. It pours clear amber with a medium white head. The nose is soft, doughy, creamy, toasty bread, generic fruitiness, stewed orange and peach. The taste is smooth, toasty, bitter-sweet, oily, grass, bready malt base, peach, stewed orange, stickiness and alcohol boost towards the finish. Medium body and average carbonation. A touch sweet perhaps, but drinks pretty easy considering the abv.

Bomber shared at GBBF. This wax capped bottle poured a clear copper gold beer with a fruity hop aroma. It’s got a malty zesty prickly hop flavor with a slick mouthfeel on a medium body. It’s decent but not special enough to merit a wax cap.

Bomber at home with Jennifer. Pretty tasty- falls short of being really memorable. Pours an appropriate orange/ amber with a generous white head. Definite lacing. Nice enticing aromas of pine and citrus. Taste follows with caramel malts being somewhat overpowering. Comes off as somewhat syrupy and sweet despite the 95 IBUs. Just a dense beer- slick somewhat oily mouthfeel. Lots going on- somewhat in your face. Fairly boozy. Decent. But no Modus Hoperandi.

Bottle. Deep gold. Lace. Syrupy, peches and oranges, honey, lightncaramel. Sweet and syrupy, peqckes, oranges. Don’t really dig. Ok, but too sweet and syrupy for me.

Very solid Imperial IPA right here, strong hoppy flavor, acceptingly bitter, and hits the spot when craving a delicious IPA. Would definitely buy this stuff again, and was decently priced compared to other 22oz IPA’s at 10% ABV

Split between five on 27th June 2015 at the 2nd Annual Midlands tasting. I picked this Bomber up on a recent trip to the US for such a tasting session. Poured a clear golden amber, with a white topping. Aroma had hints of orange within a mixed bowl of stewed fruits and malty esters. Taste also leaning towards an orange like flavour and fruity and semi-sweet from the malts: alcohol boost throughout: Decent.

2nd annual Midlands tasting group. Bottle thanks to Blackhaddock, cheers Jeremy. Golden Amber beer with medium head. Aroma of stewed fruits and sweet malts. Taste is marmalade, stewed fruits, some sweetness, pine resin and un hidden alcohol. Some stickyness on the palate. Good.
