I drank this from the tap into a pint glass.
It pours dark red almost vrown with a big white head, very good lacing, amber orange in color.
It smells like your normal IPA with citrus and caramel.
The taste is ok, but nothing special to distinguish from any other IPA. It tastes sweet to start but then is bitter and just sour.

Nov 23, 2009 (draught at saucer on the lake) pours clear orange with nice lasting head. Nose is bready, mango, and light piney hops. Taste is bready, orange marmalade, alcohol, white pepper, and juicy citrus hops. Nice carbonation and decently thick body.

Nov 22, 2009 Bomber. Pours an average, creamy, off-white head. Lacing. Clear, deep copper body. Great looking beer. Big, sticky, resinous grapefruit and pine nose. Flavor is of thick and chewy caramel and hops. Grapefruit and some mandarin orange. A dash of alcohol also comes through. Full bodied, average carbonation. Somewhat sticky and goopy. Overall a fairly enjoyable DIPA. It’s big, but not too brash.

Nov 22, 2009 Bottle from the Whole Foods on Lamar. Orange pour with a creamy white head. Piney, sticky, floral hop aroma. Taste is pine, sweet hops, and caramel. Thick.

Nov 20, 2009 Pours a deep amber with a thin white head. The aromas are citrus with a little grass. The flavors are sweet sugar, light grass and citrus(and not in that order). Not a good Imperial IPA. Too sweet(although I’m a hophead). Cheers!

Nov 9, 2009 Very good brew. Sweet, smooth, hoppy and has a nice caramel backbone. Color is almost red with an off-white head. Very sweet caramel and hop flavor. Would drink again.

Nov 9, 2009 Good head at pour. Dark orange color. I think the color is too dark but still nice. Aroma is very subtle, not strong. Nice aroma but not my favorite. Aroma gets a little stronger as it is allowed to breath. Taste is too sweet. You can taste the alcohol which is a turnoff. Smooth palate, doesn’t linger like other IPAs I have tasted. Overall, I don’t care for this beer because of its sweetness. It does pack a punch I will give it that! If you like sweet IPAs, then you might like this beer. Not recommended for traditional hop heads.

Oct 31, 2009 Bottle at pilsnerpeter’s. Thanks to everybody for their generosity. Clear golden orange with ring. Piney spicy grassy orange hop aroma. Clean caramel orange spice with subdued fruit and dry bitter finish. Crisp, especially for abv. Very good.
