Pours a lightly hazy golden copper with a medium creamy/bubbly off white head that laced. Aroma of tea, light citrus notes, floral hops and a touch of sweet maltiness. Flavor of tea, grapefruit, light caramel and biscuit malt. Really well done pale ale. Love that it’s in a can and I can get it on a regular basis in Kansas!

OK, so I am really confused. I am reviewing the Bourbon Barrel Aged Euphoria Pale Ale - Dementia Aged and Confused. But it is not coming up on rate beer so I am putting it here. Aromas of smokey maple wood, toffee, toasted caramel, deep malts, red wine grape must and moderately noticeable dank hops. Appears a dark ruby amber with a thin white foam and moderate lacing. Taste is confusing indeed with bitter hops upfront followed by a musty grape juice, red wine, grapefruit peel, citrus-y,herb-y hops, toffee, oak, barrel wood and toasted caramel quality, Finishes with buttery hop flavors and a slight bourbon burn in the throat. Overall, this is really crazy stuff. Never heard of a bourbon barrel aged pale ale. Very interesting, the bourbon doesn’t come out too much in this but I’m sure its because of the style of the beer. More of a woody, grape juice, wine tannin, whiskey and oak-y trait in it. Very interesting. A rating.

Can at Pure Bar, Birmingham. Classic APA - spritzy, speckled with sugary belting hops. Sweetly refreshing. Crunchily bitter in all the right places.

Draught at Taphouse Copenhagen, 17.1.15. Clear dark amber with white head. A little cookie dough and grainy aroma, sweet maltiness, very faint hoppy fruitiness on the mouth. Sleek, smooth, medium body, faintly bitter finish.

It’s a luscious red amber with a creamy coloured head that clings stubbornly to the glass as the body of the beer makes its way from vessel to gullet. The aroma is predominantly of sweet dusty malts. The flavour is where the spiciness comes through with sweet apricot and peach maltiness and tangs of Indian spices. I is cool and easy drinking. My impression that APA is a style of violence and the blood of spruce and redwood trees is challenged.

Can. Amber with a collapsing off white head. Aroma of toffee, vague citrus, some spices, a little pine. And so it tastes - moderate sweetness, rather bland malt, caramel, nice quite English hops and firmish bitterness. Liked the finish but the malt side of things is rather dull and there’s really not a whole lot going on for 6.2%. 7 3 6 3 13
