Decent stout. Has a unique sweet smooth finish, I know its the graps in tere but doest have any wine taste that I was expecting.

Tap. Dark ruby pour with tan head. Nose is coffee, earth, dirt. Flavor is earth, light coffee. Lots of residual sugars. Odd.

Pour on tap at Rackhosue pub, thick black pour with tan head, aroma brought notes of dark chocolate, oak, touch of dark cocoa powder mixing into dark red fruits with red grape, hints of roast, slight wine notes. Taste is a mix of a dark fruit, chocolate, roast, hints of red fruit, grape, hints of roast, coffee, finishing fairly sweet, slightly oaky.

Pours deep mahogany with cocoa head. Pleasant nose with nuts and berries. Medium bodied and silky on the tongue with immediate bittersweet chocolate malt moving to a wine and currant bite. Finishes with a fruitcake taste and slight alcohol burn. A modest yet interesting stout.

Typical near-black appearance for a stout; very small head, but good lacing. Aroma is faint, but cocoa is present, and some of the grape juice is also. Medium-bodied, sweet, highly drinkable brew. Not quite as flavorful as I was expecting, but pleasant enough.

Holy smokes that’s good! Here’s the gist; start with an excellent English style stout, than age that beauty in oak with Malbec grape. Rich, malty, beautiful head and legs, glossy deep black/brown. I’m going back for more.

This beer is black with a minimal tan head, which dissipates quickly, when poured into a snifter, and the aroma is subtle and earthy. The taste is interesting as it is a slightly sweet, slightly salty, and mildly umami, yet the palate is a combination of a medium body, slick texture, soft carbonation, and a sudden finish.

12 oz can with fun artwork pours an opaque black with a tan head that keeps nice lacing. Aroma begins with big time banana runts, damascanone, and purple drink. Flavor is roasty upfront, with more banana runts and purple drink coming through. Not getting much oak character. Thought it might be a bit more complex. It’s aight.

12oz can. Pours an opaque, deep brownish ’stouty’ color, with a nice rocky-top mocha colored head, decent retention and excellent lacing. Nose is mainly roasted barley, some coffee and cocoa. Mouth is moderately sweet, medium bodied and smooth, with lots of roast a hint of wood and a faint trickle of that Malbec quality imparted by the grape juice. A pleasant brew for a cold February eve on Chicago’s South Side. Turn up your Satellites and skank to da rhythm!

Can; poured a very dark brown with a medium light brown head. Aroma of leather, meat, roasted malt, caramel, wood, with a lot of grape/fruit in the finish. Not sure what the grape addition and wood aging added, but the final product was solid. Fairly roasted and leathery up front, gives way to a more vinous note, slightly sugary finish. A solid beer.
