Dark brown pour with medium sized fluffy beige head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, roasted malts and ripe fruit. Taste of chocolate milk, roasted malts, coffee, slightly fruity, and slightly woody and smoky. Creamy mouthfeel, medium to low carbonation, lots going on in this one, excellent beer.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Can, at Beercade Emporium in May. Stoutish color, but illuminated by a bit of purple. Smelly is mostly rich cocoa and roasty malt. A very roasty tasting stout, too, but tempered by some grape juice. Keeps the overall beer kind of sweet and lets the grape play pretty well, in polace of the lactose of a milk stout. Unique!

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
AZ Strong Beer Festival. Touch of smoke on the nose. Starts light and sweet (less sweet than a milk stout though), but some body then starts to assert itself. Fades to a light bitter-brandy-alcohol feel.
