Can from Antioch Fine Wine. Pours black with a tan head leaving spots of lace. Aroma has molasses, oatmeal, and vanilla, with some caramel. Taste is of sweet vanilla, roast, and faint chocolate and caramel, with oatmeal. Medium-bodied. Perhaps somewhat light for a stout, and quite sweet with some alcohol. Finishes sweet with some bitterness and somewhat short. An interesting stout, perhaps it was aged a bit?

Can 33cl from Henrik thanks. A dark beer with good head and retention. Nose is on dark malt, oak and prune / purple fruits. Aroma is on dark malt, dark chocolate, coffee, lot of licorice and prune touch, veru nice oak notes. Well done beer, multidimensional, easy drinkable, smooth and sweet, good.

Pours oily mahogany into the glass, almost pitch, with a nice tan cap that leaves soapy lacing. The nose is of roasts and wood. Similar flavors, roasted grain and oaky, coffee bitters with a light grape essence toward the finish. Semi-dry and complex mouthfeel, this is flavorful and substantive. A nice take on the genre, for sure.

Can. Cherries and chocolate nose, slight fumes. Opaque dark brown, translucent edges. Solid, harsh, roastiness / apples and light coffee / final coating of chocolate and bitterness. Medium-heavy body. Very smooth, except for the initial. A nice dark fruitiness from the grapes. Very pleasant

Enjoyed a shared 32 oz growler from Total Wine after sampling. Pretty reasonable price at $7.99. Nice, thick, full bodied stout, coffee, toffee, burnt malts, some chocolate, some bitter in dry finish.

12 oz. can. It pours a dark brown/black color with a nice tan head. The aroma has dark chocolate and some roast, maybe a hint of red grape but you have to know it’s there to pick it out. Not much oak. The flavor is nice with some sweeter grape juice notes balanced intense roasted malt and dark chocolate. A little oak in the finish. Full bodied, but it goes down pretty easy. Nice graped stout.
