Had at that party at that place for that thing.. $9 for a tiny glass, 8oz at most.. . pours a very deep brown .. low foam .. bitter berry and dark fruit .. . this was decent, but i would have passed if i knew how pricey it was, but then again, when would i ever get another chance to try this.. .. mon Dieu Joey, tu es vraiment un putain de chatte horribles ..

Bottle. Pours a clear amber with small beige head diminishing quickly to nothing. The aroma is raisin malt and yeast. Thin mouthfeel with a strong yeast and light smoke finish. A good Abbey Dubbel from Ska.

Thanks, Jeff! Not a style Iím especially tickled by these days but always interesting to see what SKA will come up with in this one-off series. Pretty underwhelming pour, a clear brown thatís not especially carbonated. Nose is soft and nutty, with a hint of dry hops and plenty of candi and yeast. Mouthfeelís a bit watery and the flavors a bit generic, but relatively to style and decently satisfying.

SHIG (3534) - Wasilla, Alaska, USA - APR 21, 2012
Bottle thanks to Ibrew2or3 for another unrated Dubbel: Poured a brown with a bubbly tan head. Aroma is dark fruit, sticky with sweet malts. Nice flavor of malts, dates, and other dark fruits. Leaves the palate sticky for more.

3/28/12. 22oz bomber shared by SHIG! Amber pour, lots of reds, under a small khaki head that fades. Nice aroma with plenty of yeast, dark fruits, touches of chocolate, and just a dash of metal. Nice flavor with lots of chocolate, more dark fruits, a hint of metal, and even some roastiness. Perhaps a bit light and thin, but otherwise tasty.

sonnycheeba (3295) - Federal Hill, Baltimore, Maryland, USA - JAN 20, 2012
Bottle. Pours light brown with thin off-white head; short retention and minimal lacing. Aroma is sweet malt, caramel, brown sugar, dark fruit, and some faint yeast. Flavor is mostly malt (caramel and cookie), dark fruit esters, and finishes with soft, earthy hops. Medium body, carbonation, and warmth.
