dwyerpg (1981), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Feb 18, 2008 A nice wee heavy, this beer doesn’t actually come off as all that strong. Some roastiness and malt for sure. A good solid flavor that coats the mouth. GreatLibations (1240), Sasquatcho, Arizona, USA Dec 22, 2007 Pours dark mahogany with a solid two finger head job. Good head retention and it reduces nicely to a full canopy and a fluffy ring. The aroma is amazing. Hot buttered french toast with maple syrup. NIce! Full nectar with good carbonation. The texture is soft and slightly creamy. A fat malty backbone that is semi sweet with flavors of buttered, maple laden french toast, pecan pie, mocha, ripe cherries, and roasted coffee bean. The finish is mildly bittered and long on flavor. Overall: this brew is true to style in every way, shape, and form. I’m headed to Craker Barrel to get a grandmas french toast breakfast.
