Itís Old Man Bitter

A mix of citrus and pine that will remind you of the time you went on a vision quest with your Native American cousin and you woke up in a pine grove full of grapefruit trees.

An American-style India Pale Ale with a deep golden-orange color. Bitter and hoppy, with a surprisingly smooth finish.

Modus Hoperandi, an IPA sitting at 6.8% ABV and 65 IBUs.

Amber colour with nice foam. SHarp citrusy aroma, some pine mixed with a soapy fragrance!? This one also has the not so pleasant smell Taste is surprisingly malty, the sparkling fruityness not appearing and dominated in the end by an unpleasant bitterness, almost no carbonation at all! I count this one as a bad example of the beer.

UPDATED: MAY 1, 2016 Can from Hops & Crafts Exeter, pours beautifully clear bronze with a dense white head, aroma is very piney withfruit & spicy notes with some burnt caramel taste is initially fresh pine with pinapple & some bitter grapefruit with good malt back up almost like burnt caramel & nice bitterness maybe slightly astringent leading into the pleasing bitter hoppy finish ,but for me what makes this beer stand out is its mouth feel smooth & medium bodied ,slightly oily with low to medium carbonation that kinda leaves u wanting more!

33 cl, can condtioned. Best before May 12 2016, so itís not fresh. Slightly hazy, dark golden, thin head, sediments floating, low level of carbonation. Aroma is surprisingly malty, very faint hop notes. Mouthfeel is dry and bitter, but I think this can is a bit too old. This was really not what I was looking forward to, so the rating is unfair.

Funky smell - sort of like a Christmas tree. Taste has the creaminess of a DIPA but has way more pine and a grapefruit aftertaste. Not overly bitter. Excellent.

APPEARANCE- Amber color with golden hue. Light white head is gone quickly without much lacing evidence. NOSE- a bit of resin, a bit of malt background. FLAVOR- itís pretty good.

Can from Casa De Oro. Moderate bitterness up front with a bit of a bready maltiness. A little thin. Decent grapefruit peel bitterness with a touch of a spicy hop flavor in the back end. Sippable single.

Nice head. Good carbonation. Too much crystal malts to my taste, which is Also reflected in the pronounced caramelt taste from the malts. Little aroma from the hops.

Orange amber. Great frothy fluffy white head. Lots of pine. Grapefruit of the side. Moderate bitterness. Bigger light body. Medium plus bitterness. Dry. Old school for 2016. Still solid.

Pleasantly balanced aroma. Taste is slightly bitter for my personal preference, but strong pine and hop characteristics. Light with a strong finish.
