Fresh pint. Copper red color with dense creamy head. Big citrus pine aroma and flavor. My friends at Ska deliver perfectly with this pint.

355ml can, pours nearly clear amber-colored with a large tan head. Strong aroma of grapefruit, pine and orange. Tastes bitter grapefruit and orange. A somewhat oily palate with average carbonation. Modus Hoperandi is a beer I buy regularly, because itís tasty, fairly affordable and readily available.

From tap at Oliver Twist and later from can. Pours a deep copper with just a small white head. Very aromatic smell of malt and hops. Taste is really bitter with hops being present. Fruit and malt are giving a good balance. Alcohol is present. Not an easy going IPA but interesting enough to drink again.

Not a big IPA fan but I dig this. Very hoppy smelling. Not as bitter as some but easy to drink and quite enjoyable.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Hazy orange with a thin off-white head. aroma of toffee, malt, mild hops. Taste is light sweet and quite bitter, pine. Oily texture, medium carbonation. Not sure about this one - itís OK but could be better and I was expecting a lot more from the hops in the aroma given the name...

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: AUG 16, 2013 My 100th review! Pours a dark orange color with a finger length head that dissipates slowly and leaves a blanket of lacing. Smells of lots of resinous pine, grapefruit zest, lemon, grass, and a significant amount of carmel/candy sweetness. Smells pretty balanced. Taste starts with a little pine and grapefruit. Then the middle provides a nice malt backbone. Good amount of carmel sweetness and a nice breadiness somewhat balance the hops. Then the finish brings back a lot more pine, but more resinous this time. Also get flavors of grapefruit zest, tangerine, grass, and more carmel sweetness and breadiness. Pretty balanced. Medium body with a smooth, creamy, and oily mouthfeel. The resinous pine lingers for a while on the finish. A well done ipa that is light on the wallet, not on the hops.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
First time trying this...poured from the can into my fav tulip. It has a mild hop aroma of grapefruit and sweet resin. It is a dark amber color with mostly diminishing light tan head. Obviously malt heavy. Taste is of bitter citrus and sweetness...almost like malt syrup. It has med body and soft carbonation. All in all not a fan of the heavy malt presence...reminded me of a homebrew gone too much breiss LME.
