COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Itís Old Man Bitter

A mix of citrus and pine that will remind you of the time you went on a vision quest with your Native American cousin and you woke up in a pine grove full of grapefruit trees.

An American-style India Pale Ale with a deep golden-orange color. Bitter and hoppy, with a surprisingly smooth finish.

Modus Hoperandi, an IPA sitting at 6.8% ABV and 65 IBUs.

Amber in color. Solid amount of hops. Mostly floral. May be an overhyped beer. Solid table IPA in my opinion.

Draft at Stone 14th Anniversary. Amber pour, off-white head. Caramel malts, bitter hops, citrus, grapefruit, and pine. Decent IPA, I cant complain.

This was pretty good. Fresh hop flavor and enough malt to balance it. Serving: Can

12 oz can. Half poured into glass and the rest in a glass. Believe it or not it was better in the can! Hoppy piney grapefruit aromas and flavors. Overall an excellent IPA.

Can. Solid deep reddish amber beer with a lasting top of thin foam. The aroma is simply inviting, rich with an outdoorsy seductiveness. Solidly hoppy as youíd expect, the beer drinks with a rich evergreen sap bite, enough to make you think the beerís chewy. Delicious. (#3965, 8/15/2010)

UPDATED: AUG 20, 2010 This beer is fantastic, from the first sniff to the bitter after taste. It all works fantastic together. This will be my beer of choice for late nighters, as well as the refreshing beer I have after mowing the lawn. It is the perfect amount of citrus hops. Well done SKA, and a big thanks to Brian at beertopia here in Omaha.

Pours a cloudy golden color with a white head. Had a nice floral hops flavor with a good ABV. Really drinkable for an IPA. Wish this beer was more accessable in Ohio. 12 oz. Can?

Excellent on the nose! Sampled this one at Crescent House in Omaha. Copper orange in color, a nice hoppy character I usually only expect to find in Northern California brews. Full-bodied, a bit bitter on the finish. Iím impressed.

Bottle from Bill. no wait, make that a can. Pours a deep chestnut transparency...not much head to speak of. nose has spicy hop elements to it and some minty ribbon candy accented malt sweetness. Flavors combine the aforementioned characteristics but in your mouth rather than your nose. Clean, smooth, balanced...hey, nothing wrong here really...

Can. Hazy orange amber, off-white, long-lasting creamy head. Big sweet piney aroma. Resinous hoppy palate, medicinal bitter finish. Sweet biscuity malts hold it together. Drinks bigger than 65 IBUís. Nice.
