Itís Old Man Bitter

A mix of citrus and pine that will remind you of the time you went on a vision quest with your Native American cousin and you woke up in a pine grove full of grapefruit trees.

An American-style India Pale Ale with a deep golden-orange color. Bitter and hoppy, with a surprisingly smooth finish.

Modus Hoperandi, an IPA sitting at 6.8% ABV and 65 IBUs.

Pours a very clear amber orange with lively carbonation and a huge frothy white head that dissipates after a short while. Aroma is very floral, piney, light grassy and a bit of caramel. Flavor has a nice hop punch and wonderful bitterness. Very dry. Medium bodied, sticky texture. Finishes nice and long and very bitter.

12 oz. can as a trade bonus from erway- thanks again, Jeff! Pours a clear copper color with a small beige head that leaves some uneven lacing behind. Aroma of piney hops, caramel malts, grapefruit citrus, floral notes, tea leaves, and just a bit of spice. Flavor of pine resin, floral hops, grapefruit citrus, caramel malts, and tea. Light-medium bodied, with moderate carbonation and a tea-like mouthfeel. Some lingering bitterness. Very nicely balanced IPA in a cool can.

Color is amber, brown, crimson and brilliant clear. Good stuff. Aroma is of grapefruit, citrus, and lovely tropical flavors. Lovely hops balanced by some malt. Layers of flavors upon tasting with a gentle finish. Creamy mouthfeel. Hoppy goodness again. Amazing balance. Great complexity and intensity of flavor. One of the best beers ever out of a can. Wonderful IPA.

Hard to find a flaw. Wonderful aroma of cascades, lovely carmel color and nice tight white head. Stong bitterness and complex hop flavors with understated malty body. Very much in the west coast style of IPA. Great can illustration too.

Enjoyed while camping in 90+ degree heat; amber, nice head, sticky lacing, bready, grassy, a bit of sweetness, pine; one of my new favorite go-to beers, if only the stores here could keep them in stock

Poured from can. Deep amber/brown, very clear. Large off-white lumpy head the lingers forever, tons of lace. Massive pine nose, some grapefruit. All hops, no malt character evident in smell. Taste: like drinking a pine tree! No too bitter, pleasant lingering aftertaste of pine. The columbus hops (guess) really come though to make the hop flavor something other than just cascade. Good mouthfeel even though itís not a balanced beer, very well put together. Perfect carbonation level for IPA.

Pours deep orange-amber into the glass, with a firm sticky suds head that leaves thick lace. Huge pine and grapefuit nose. Bold bitters surround grapefuit and some malts. Long bitter pine finish. Bold palate and sticky mouthfeel. Great IPA.
