4.8 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Just tried this new offering from the Ska Brewing Co. out of Durango Colorado. I can sum up the experience in one word UNBELIEVABLE!!! The aroma that pours out the can slams into your face with the force of a semi-truck rolling down a hill with faulty breaks. The 70 IBUs that batter your palate into submission go nicely with the mild malt under tones, and I am floored by its piney/floral drinkability. This beer ranks up there with any of the top IPAs i have ever had... and I am one of the biggest snobs on the planet when it comes to my IPAs. HIGHLY RECCOMENDED!!!

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Deep bronze hue with a large light khaki head. Light grapefruit and some biscuit aroma up front. There is some candy sweetness hinted in that nose. Taste is mild sugared grapefruit with some salty notes. There is also some grass. This is light for an IPA, but I appreciate that it is in a can.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 oz can picked up at Binnyís. Smell of sweet malt and a mild amount of hops. Flavor is balanced, lightly citrus and caramelly. Hop flavor gets stronger as I drink. Mouthfeel is nice, with a fair amount of carbonation. Overall, surprisingly decent for Ska, but nothing very special.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Canned IPA picked up at Binnyís Beverage Depot in Orland Park, IL: It pours a light amber body with a slow but steady stream of bubbling that supports a spongey off-white head with rings of lace appearing as you drink. It smells of caramel and pears capped by pine and yellow grapefruit. The flavor is fairly balanced between the sweet malt and the hop flavors, but the bitterness picks up at the middle and lasts long into the finish. Pretty decent brew.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
12 oz bottle, bottled 3rd week of Feb. Pours a hazy reddish orange with a big creamy off white head that retains well and laced the glass.
The aroma is sweet melon and piney resinous hops.
The flavor is sweet caramelly fruits quickly followed by a big bitter bang. The hops are piney with charred resin and linger in the aftertaste. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with nice carbonation.
Overall, a big hop monster. A pleasant surprise from SKA. I do prefer my IPAs a little more balanced with more fruity tones, but this is very good.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Green can with the same logo as the bottle pictured here. Clear golden orange, decent head, a little sticky lace. Smells fairly hoppy with a faint bit of fruits in the back. The flavor is not so hoppy except for a very bitter finish. Its like malts and then just bitterness. Its cool to see more beer in cans but this is just so-so.
