Thanks kiefdog for the share. Pours golden yellow with white head. Nose is caramel, pine sap, honey, and nice sweetness and malt behind the hops. Flavor is almost the same with biting pine and citrus hops. Sharp, yet balanced with a medium body and a nice bite.

In short: A well malted, clean, crisp and very bitter uber-hoppy American IPA. Sharp and flavourful session IPA. Typical in style but way above average in quality.
How: Bottle 12oz. 6.8%, not 7% as currently listed here. Consumed fresh a few weeks after receiving it from Blutt59. Thanks a lot Bob.
The look: Clear dark golden body topped by a medium beige head with medium retention leaving lots of lacing.
In long: Pleasant nose of medium-high intensity covering pretty much the entire American IPA spectrum (coniferous, oranges, citrus fruits, pine-tree needles, etc.). Well malted body with just enough caramel to balance out the truckload of hops. As expected from the nose, this is a bitter, very bitter IPA. Pine-tree and orange peels dominate followed by citrus fruits, tropical fruits, wood resin and red apples. I could have done without the red apples notes but overall there is a lot of positive in this beer. Not an original beer by any means but this tasty archetype American IPA honours the style. Criminally underrated, at least when fresh. Too bad this is not locally available around here. I donít remember last time weíve had such a kick-ass local session IPA. I think we often do but everytime I get too drunk and I donít remember.

Bottle from Cindireneís. Pours deep coppery with off-white head. Nose is piney hops, caramel malt, peppery. The flavor was piney and resiny hoppy, sticky, with a solid caramel malt backbone, some late black peppery hints, and a very good balance. This is a beer that you donít sip; each sip makes you want to chug the entire bottle. This is a very good IPA, and one of my big surprises in the last month or so.

Awesome IPA on draft. A little darker in color, delicious aroma and good flavor. Smooth, but still has the hops bitter bite.

Pours a clear, medium brown with a good sized white head. The overwhelming aroma is of sweet hops. The beer isnít quite as hoppy as one might expect based on the aroma, but it has some good hop kick to it. However, the flavor is a little one dimensional. Overall, this is a good beer, but the aroma is probably the best part and the flavor lacks something.

Pours rusty burnt orange with a small white head that lasts. Aroma is big on grapefruit, but it seems more delicate here than usual (a welcome thing). Definite caramel, brown sugar, orange juice and tangerines. Tastes sweet and malty at first with a good dose of piny, stinging citrus hops, and grapfruit. Lots of caramel. Finishes balanced with brown sugar lingering, some tangy pine as well, and bitter grapefruit and toast on the throat. Medium bodied but pretty sticky mouthfeel. Iím glad this is a little different than the usual IPA. Sweeter than expected, and enjoyable throughout.

12 oz bottle. Pours a medium amber, a tad darker than other IPAs. Makes me think it has an ample malt backbone. Nice lacy head but the beer itself is rather cloudy. The aroma is very appealing with notes of light fruit (apple) and citrusy hops. The taste is similar except the malt comes through solidly. Pine resin (simcoe?) in flavor. Mouthfeel is bitteringly dry and full enough to call it a double IPA. Definitely balanced to hops rather than malt (as it should be for an IPA), but the malt backbone is there. Nice job!

Pretty darn solid ipa. Possibly a daily drinker too. Plenty of bitterness, smooth and flowery too. Ok malt backbone as well.
