COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Its Old Man Bitter

A mix of citrus and pine that will remind you of the time you went on a vision quest with your Native American cousin and you woke up in a pine grove full of grapefruit trees.

An American-style India Pale Ale with a deep golden-orange color. Bitter and hoppy, with a surprisingly smooth finish.

Modus Hoperandi, an IPA sitting at 6.8% ABV and 65 IBUs.

Bottle. Fruity, citrusy, piney, malty, raisiny, alcoholic and Madeira aroma. Nice appearance, amber. High bitterness, bit too sharp. Little unbalanced in taste. Medium-full body and harsh in palate. Overall nice ipa with very pleasant aroma.

Can from Beer Gonzo, Coventry. Love this beer, strong aromas of pine, sweet orange, slightly onion, dank as anything. Taste is marmalade, tropical fruits, nice malty background. Decent bitter finish but not a tongue scraper. This is exceptional.

Can. Amber, fine carbonation , offwhite cream. Lychee hop aroma. Medium body, mellow, light sticky/resiny hop base on a light fruity base. sparkly grassy finish. Nice.

Always a classic, this beer has a great color for an IPA, and I love that there is a good malt character to it as opposed to only being hoppy

Poured from a can into a snifter dark golden with a nice thick head. Aroma is pine trees--oranges? Flavor is juicy citrus with pine resin. Beautiful on the palate.

Its hard to believe that the consistent Modus Hoperandi clocks in at a steaming 6.8%. An incredibly well balanced modern IPA (hops well and truly to the front, but with some malt coming through, delivering its high drinkability), I always try to keep a couple of cans in the fridge, but, more often than not, I just neck the lot as its deceptively sessionable.

Clear amber beer with a white head.
Nose: Pine, grass, orange, grapefruit, resin and caramel malt.
Taste: A lot of hops. Smooth caramel malt, citrus, pine, honey and herbs.
Body: Medium body and soft carbonation. Smooth and easy to drink. Bitter at the end.

A really great IPA!

deep bitter pinecone aroma, burnished copper colour, an initially intense bitterness flows into a smooth citrus finish

12 oz. can from backlog notes. Pours a clear deep amber color with a small beige head that tries to hang around. The aroma had resiny hops, caramel malts, grapefruit citrus, mild floral notes, tea, with light spice. The flavor had pine resin, floral hops, grapefruit citrus, caramel malts, lightly toasted bread and a splash of tea. Medium light bodied, mild to moderate bitterness, decent IPA.
