COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
It’s Old Man Bitter

A mix of citrus and pine that will remind you of the time you went on a vision quest with your Native American cousin and you woke up in a pine grove full of grapefruit trees.

An American-style India Pale Ale with a deep golden-orange color. Bitter and hoppy, with a surprisingly smooth finish.

Modus Hoperandi, an IPA sitting at 6.8% ABV and 65 IBUs.

Dark, thin head, very over hopped just like in India Pale Ale should be. Perfect example of an IPA that made of long voyage across the sea. I I love that it comes in a can

Draught at The Brewery Bar, Camden Town Brewery on 19-Aug-2015. Guest-tap. Clear orange amber colour with a small off-white head which quickly dissipates. Medium body and carbonation. Aroma of sweet malt, pine, resin, orange and pineapple. Tropical fruit flavour, lots of hops with a bitter finish. The sweetness becomes more noticeable as you move down the glass, but the bitterness provides a nice counterbalance. A very good IPA.

Can. Pours a deep golden with an inch of caramel-hued top. Pine and resin on the nose along with hints of citrus, grapefruit and malts. Taste is moderate bitter with more pine and resin notes. Malts as well, makes for a nice balance, altho the finish is lingering light bitter pine notes. Medium body with a sticky mouthfeel and avg co2 levels.

Can imported from England. Midnight toast on the missus’ birthday. Fruity and punchy, floral and stewed like Nanny State with an added oomph of booze, obviously. Big peach, honey throat sweet, cedar nose. Floral honeyed pine and peach, intense bitterness, tonic and husk finish. Deftly balanced punch and peachy sweetness. Dusty honey laced and moussed with white. A bit bilious. Some vomited pot pourri. Solid. Surreal to be drinking it in preference to the bottomless brandies and hairspray-flavoured house G&Ts at an all-you-can-drink hotel in Kos.

6/22/2015: I was expecting to be underwhelmed by this beer, but it definitely surprised me and delivered... and then some! This is a fantastic IPA that reminds me of a PacNW-style Red IPA in many ways. The citrus and pine hops are fantastic and there is a great caramel maltiness running throughout. Everyting is extremely well-balanced, yet distinct. It’s very smooth, delicious, and a joy to drink! Draught (pints) at the brewery.

Aromas deeply based in galaxy hops. Drank in a can so the logo on the outside was cool. The taste is akin to Schlafly’s TIPA, which is my favorite beer. The brew is a little smooth for an IPA, and has a bit much on carbonation.
