5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20 bigbeersrule (82) - USA - MAY 16, 2009
Easily the best canned beer I have ever had. A really good west coast IPA. Aroma of grassy and citrus hops. Color is a nice golden color with a good white head. Flavor was rich and had huge hop flavor. Great job at balance. If you can find this beer buy it. Fantastic. My new personal favorite.

Great dry hopped nose. Delicious citrus piney flavor. Favorite full time release from the durango boys (except maybe Decadent). Won a private blind tasting over 8 of the best IPA’s available in CO market in a room full of beer geeks. Heads up Dale.Well done!!!

Carmel orange reddish color, pure white bubbly foam head, medium carbonation. Smells spicy with strong hopsy pine/citrus notes. Very thin, very easy drinking. Citrusy american hops flavor, the red wheat adds a nice balance to the bitterness. This is the best canned IPA I have ever drank. Great example of the American take on the India Pale Ale.

Just tried this new offering from the Ska Brewing Co. out of Durango Colorado. I can sum up the experience in one word UNBELIEVABLE!!! The aroma that pours out the can slams into your face with the force of a semi-truck rolling down a hill with faulty breaks. The 70 IBUs that batter your palate into submission go nicely with the mild malt under tones, and I am floored by its piney/floral drinkability. This beer ranks up there with any of the top IPAs i have ever had... and I am one of the biggest snobs on the planet when it comes to my IPAs. HIGHLY RECCOMENDED!!!

Huge aroma on the nose. Very piney and resinous. While still being a very sessionable IPA, the hop taste on the palate is huge. It’s in a can too so the hop heads have a great beer to go camping with. Ska hit it big with this one!
