COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
It’s Old Man Bitter

A mix of citrus and pine that will remind you of the time you went on a vision quest with your Native American cousin and you woke up in a pine grove full of grapefruit trees.

An American-style India Pale Ale with a deep golden-orange color. Bitter and hoppy, with a surprisingly smooth finish.

Modus Hoperandi, an IPA sitting at 6.8% ABV and 65 IBUs.

12oz Can. The pour was a clear copper orange with an average (1-2 finger) off white bubbly head that reduced down to a thin puddled film and small collar with excellent sticky sheets of lacing. The aroma was of a light biscuit malt, pine hops and a soapy yeast with notes of caramel, toffee, citrus (grapefruit) and a light tropical fruitiness (pineapple I believe). The taste was lightly malty sweet with a hint of caramel and a mild fruitiness from the start, becoming nice and hoppy with dose of citrus, a hint of toffee and a bitter citrus peel ending. The flavor lasted for a good long time following the swallow, with a slightly sweet bitter hoppy taste that was left to linger for a while longer. Mouthfeel was a few steps above light in body with an exceptionally dry texture and a carbonation that was a little more than mild. Overall this was a decent enough IPA with a good strong bitterness along with a touch of fruit and mild sweetness, making this a nice and easy to drink brew...

Can, 6.8%. Powerful citric and piney hop aroma. Cloudy orange amber colour. Small white head. The flavour is a lot like the aroma, citric and piney. Nice sugar level, good body. Clean bitterness. If I read the date stamp correctly, it is actually past BBD, but it tastes fresh to me.

Can. Pours hazy rich amber with stable off-white head. Clear aroma of hops and citrus, with notes of malt and fruit. Bitter, hoppy and grassy flavour with round, sweet notes of malt and yeast and some fruity touches. Bitter aftertaste with grassy hints and estery touches. Decent but tastes more like a Double IPA.

Can. Appearance- amber and very clear, some bubbles rising, a cream thick clingy head which persists. Aroma- caramel malt, bread, hop resin, tangerine, grapefruit, pithy orange. Hint of pineapple. Taste- orange marmalade, malty bready backbone, hops, orange peel, fruit juice, pineapple in the background, some sugary fruit. Tasty, good balance between orange and caramel.

Pours a hazy orange-brown with light white head. A sweet fruit malt and pine aroma. A strong malt based IPA with fruit malts and caramel but also with floral hops, pine and grains. A heavy beer with a lingering fruit malt and bitter hop aftertaste.

*Notes* Pours a dark golden, big head and lots of lacing. Aroma of pine and citrus. Taste was bitter which covered up most of the citrus flavor. Ok IPA could have used more flavor. Maybe it was a bit old??

At freshcraft, This gross little lady pours red-brown....what the fuck? Tastes as sweet and malty as it looks but there’s also lots of booze in this hoppy treat. Notes of bread, caramel, rubbing alcohol, astringent grain, pine, and sweet resin. Finish has some blood and rust ok top of some wet paint, and ash wood. Terrible

Great stuff and becoming quite abundant in the uk. Real pineapplely, fruit salad sweet flavours. Maybe a bit too sweet. Excellent.
