King of the alley — this Imperial Porter reigns supreme with a mighty 8% Alcohol by Volume and 60 IBUs.Creamy, chocolaty sweet, with hints of coffee and Bing cherry, the Nefarious is wickedly outrageous.

650 ml bottle at the Local Pub, Athens. Dark brown with beige head. Aroma is roasted malty and light hoppy. Taste is sweet malty at the beginning, roasted, some coffee, then it becomes bitter. Medium body, oily, soft carbonation.

Had this in bottle at Bracelands Campsite, nr Coleford, Forest of Dean, Glos, Saturday 6th September 2014 Pours black with light beige head. Smooth and creamy, roasty but not harsh. A little sweet liquorice and chocolate but a tiny bit thin even though its 8%. Its pretty decent but I wouldn’t rush out to seek it again. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.6

Bottle. Black body with a low dark brown head. Roasty aroma with soapy and fruity hop notes, cocoa and a subtle sourness. Taste is quite fruity for a porter, nothing wrong there, plum, orange, raisin, with a good roasty malt bitterness and dark chocolate. Massive in taste. Sweet chocolate aftertaste rounds it off with hints of coffe, a little disappointed with the finish as the taste promised so much more, though it doesn’t break the beer, it’s quite delicious.

Bottled from GBBF 2013, sampled at Fergus’ tasting on 26 July. Poured a thick, dense black, with a thin beige head. Aroma of molasses, liquorice and meaty notes. Dark malt flavours, with some coffee and dried fruit. Full mouth feel. Finish was espresso, liquorice and slight Oxo.

Bottle at the Watford tasting 26/07/14. Aroma is tart fruit , some ashy roast, dried fruits. Nice rich ruby red coloured pour with a lasting thin cream coloured head. Flavour is dried fruits, woods, oak, vanilla.. Warming alcohol. Palate is slightly chalky and tangy on the tongue. Some rough round the edges. Nice brew.

75cl bottle @ the Sixth Shrewsbury Bottle Share, June 14, courtesy of Paulo. Big choccy aroma with a sweet toffee porter character. Some roasted malts and dark fruits coming through before a bitter finish. Nice.
