Maybe you’re not in the mood for a raspberry flavored, low carb, ice, dry maltsicle, and you certainly aren’t in the mood for a Rotgutzen. You are, however, always in the mood for a Pinstripe. Brewed with caramel malts and Liberty hops, the Pinstripe has a slight fruity finish and dance.

Pours clear golden brown with not much head and flat carbonation. Nice caramel malt aroma but not much else, a bit watery. OK

Basic ale here. Had a bit of melon and marzipan quality. Not my favorite flavors.

Amber color with a small head. Tastes very malty carmel, not much carbonation, very slight hop and fruit finish. Decent body with a medium creamy texture. Very simple, drinkable, good amber ale.

I’d had the Specials playing on the way to Cott so maybe that’s why I bought this. It certainly wasn’t the ratings. Smells malty, tastes malty, flat as the cap I’ve been wearing today. Mrs D suggested Rudy for a baby name today. I was game but then she said she was joking. Nelson Mandela came on next. Neither of us suggested that one.

12 oz bottle pours a copper color and clear with a quickly dissipating head that leaves light patchy lacing. Aroma and flavor of caramel malts, light hop bitterness, toasted grains, and biscuits. Light to medium body with a smooth feel and finishes crisp and dry. Pretty mild flavor, pretty sessionable.

355ml bottle from Appellation Wines. Pours a cloudy amber with a nice thin head. The nose has stewed apple, maybe raisins. The taste has a bit of a cherry note but certainly more dried fruit and some malt. The palate is light to medium in body with a tangy texture and a refreshing finish. Overall, it’s alright but got a lot of other fruits than raspberry!

Pours copper with brown hues and a small white head. Nose is caramel, grassy, banana, peaches. The flavor is sweet at first but then comes a really nice bitter that would be expected from a beer of this style. The mouthfeel is crisp and clean, the body is light and the finish is long.
