COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The perfect robust porter: The sharp bitterness of the black malt sits nicely within the overall malty sweetness. Full bodied with a medium hop bitterness.

Six different malts are combined to create this complex Robust Porter. Perle and Willamette hops are added to fashion the perfect balance for which the Ten Pin is renowned.

Bottle from Chip’s in Kill Devil Hills, NC. Pours to a very dark brown with a quickly dissipating tan head. Nose is all malt, very roasty and caramel. Tastes like dark chocolate, caramel and coffee. Better than I was expecting after reading some of the other reviews on here. Medium-full bodied with a medium-quick finish. Very tasty,

Dark brown, extreme amount of frothy tan head, and foamy lacing. Notes of coffee, chocolate, and hazelnut. Some smoky bitterness in the taste. Medium bodied.

smells like smoky chocolate. has grassy hop notes up front wtih a chocolate twist. Finishes with smooth roasted malt flavors. Feels smooth like silk on the palate. This is a highly sessionable beer with rich dark malt flavors and good hop contrast.

12oz bottle from Chip’s in Kill Devil Hills. Pours dark reddish-brown - light in color for a robust porter - with an off-white head that lasts. Aroma is nice: clean roast and chocolate. Flavor is very sweet for the style. Roast and chocolate with some caramel malt. Medium body with some roasty burn on the palate. Not a terrible porter overall. Underrated.

12oz bottle. Aroma of cocoa. dark brown with a tan head. Overcarbonated. Probably an old bottle. Lots of fizz. As it warms there are some floral hops. Smells better than the flavor. Lots of chocolate.

Appearance: Pours a brownish black with only a small bit of froth at the top. Aroma: Light roast, hazelnut, light chocolate. Taste: Roast, dark chocolate, light coffee notes, and a touch of toffee sweetness. There is some hop spice in there, but it’s subtle. Mouthfeel: Medium bodied, medium carbonation. Overall: Way better than I expected, a solid porter!

Bottled at Monks Café Wallingatan, Stockholm. Almost black reddish brown color. Sweetish aroma with chocolate, dark fruits and licorice. Sweet flavor with dark chocolate, dark fruits and caramel. Fairly low bitterness. Smooth palate, good drinkability.
