TikiE (360), Sylva, North Carolina, USA Apr 12, 2008 Nice porter! Not as good as the imperial but its still real good! Pours a dark color that smells a little like chocolate. In the taste it gives alot of chocolate and roasted malts to the palate. Collint (452), Sylva, North Carolina, USA Apr 12, 2008 12 oz bottle. Pours a dark brown almost black with a nice tan head. Aroma is sweet molasses and flavor is smokey roast with chocolate and light coffee finish. Great carbonation. Very nice beer TheBeerOrg (1563), Kentucky, USA Apr 9, 2008 Pours black with a fully receding mocha head. Aroma of mild roast, chocolate, toffee. Tastes of sweet roast, toffee, caramel, chocolate. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Pretty average porter. Ughsmash (3981), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA Feb 25, 2008 Bottled. Poured darker reddish-brown with some sediment floating around and very little head developing. The aroma picked up darker chocolate and molasses with a touch of smoke and wet grains.. warmth brought out some cola.. not bad. The flavor had roasty caramel and darker chocolate at the core with a light coffee bitterness surrounding.. wet grains and sweet caramel on the finish. Light-bodied for the style with low carbonation that didn’t suit it well.. non-offensive, but nothing really good going on. Ingy (100), candler, North Carolina, USA Feb 21, 2008 bottle. Dark mahogany with small head. malt, slight coffee, muted, thin, boring. Not much finish, not bad, but easily forgetable. My homebrewed porter blows this away. alexsdad06 (1056), Ohio, USA Feb 18, 2008 12 oz. bottle. Pours a clear dark brown with a medium sized beige head. The aroma moderate roasted malt, light hops, and a veggie funk. The flavor was roasted malt, ash, moderatley sweet, with the same veggie funk as the aroma. Thin and watery for a porter. Very average. Alldaydrinker (557), Norwood, Massachusetts, USA Feb 14, 2008 Courtesy of Hellbilly! 12 oz bottle. Pours a murky dark brown color with a small tan bubbly head. Nose is faint but notes of cream, roasted malts and earthy hops. Initial taste is a light bodied that starts vinously and roasted malts. Mid palate develops a deep smoke almost like chewing on ashes! Im not sure if this to me is delightful or not. The finish is also subdued but hey it tries, mild smokiness and tangy hops. Palate duration is decent but dry, Some head retention. It is far from full bodied in its description but its a light porter, not bad but not great. AmEricanbrew (1747), Louisiana, USA Feb 11, 2008 Pours clear brown with a tan head. Nice nutty roasted malt smell.Med bodied and smooth. Decent taste of roasted malts is dry at first then sweet as it warms up. not bad. 103006
