| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Sep 5, 2007 the bottled on date puts this one about a year old. it was roasty and sweet, but with some of the cardboard-like chewyness in the palate, probobly from the age of it. i picked this one up in a mix a six, but failed to see the year old date.
.....oh yeah, this was very foamy, i had a glass full of head, waiting for it to settle took a swig from the bottle for a mouth full of foam. i had to swish it around until i could swallow the flat liquid that finally settled ksigty (107), Scottsdale, Arizona, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Sep 3, 2007 This was ok. I’ve never been a big fan of SKA. I gave it a shot and got what I expected. There wasn’t as much flavor with this as there are with other porters. SynergyXJ (506), Blacksburg, Virginia, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 14, 2007 Bottle Dark pour with decent head. Light aroma of roasted and sweet malts. Flavor follows, bit stronger though. Pretty much a slightly below average porter. MadMan (497), Tempe, Arizona, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 29, 2007 Bottle. Pours with a huge rocky light brown and lasting head. Good lacing with a muddy body and a dark brown color. Aroma is heavy, with molasses, caramel, grain, toast and quite roasty with a light hop note and a hint of dough. Medium body and lightly creamy in texture with averag carbonation and a lightly bitter finish. Flavor average in duration, lightly sweet, moderately acidic, moderately bitter, and slightly salty. Strong on the burnt malt, a decent brew. doubelknv3 (568), Illinois, USA

Sweet malt flavours with notes of roast coffee, chacolate, and nuts. Bitter sour finish. NachlamSie (1637), Tennessee, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 3, 2007 Bottle. Pours very dark red/ruby with a notably nice head formation. The aroma is sharp with hints of nutshells, coffee, cedar, some hops. The bitterness is up front in the flavor in the form of charred, acidic, wooden tones. There is a bit of coffee flavor here, but nothing rich or defined. I’m picking up hints of condensed milk, peanuts, instant coffee, metal. This is somewhat thin porter, robust only in the way of bitterness. It seems a little awkward, but drinkable. I’ve had a couple of better porters. OhioDad (2491), Hilliard, Ohio, USA

Aromas of burnt malts, slight coffee, and a little bit of hops. Flavor is mostly roasted and burnt malts, but some coffee there and slight chocolate. Medium body with a dry finish. I’ve seen much more robust robust porters. This was rather thin.. hellbilly (1522), scottsdale über alles, Arizona, USA
