Commercial Description:
The perfect robust porter: The sharp bitterness of the black malt sits nicely within the overall malty sweetness. Full bodied with a medium hop bitterness.

Six different malts are combined to create this complex Robust Porter. Perle and Willamette hops are added to fashion the perfect balance for which the Ten Pin is renowned.

Bottle: Nice black color, thin to moderate foamy beige head, soft lacing.   Soft roasted malt and cocoa nose, some bitter dark choclate notes, along with some vegetable.   First I noticed how thin this beer was.   Watery roasted malt start, some cocoa, coffee bean, smidgen of chocolate.   Body and mouthfeel are unfortunately on the thin side.   Seems quite watery.   The Imperial Porter is where its at.   This one is far too light, smells decent (minus the vegetable), but doesn’t follow through in Body.   Lingering lactose like sweetness.   Meh...

Pours dark black (red tone) with thick tan head that lasts. Mildly burnt chocolate malt nose. Flavor is faintly smoky and strong with black malt in a thick body. Probably more of a stout in nature.

Pours a dark brown that is somewhat less than opaue. Almost no off-white head. A subdued malty smell with a hint of smokiness. A pretty basic watered down flavor, a hint of roast character, semi-sweet, and not very bitter at all. Thin and watery in the mouth.

Bottle poured a clear black with red highlights and a small diminishing amber head. Aromas of roasted malt, chocolate and hints of coffee and vanilla. Palate was light bodied. Flavors of dark chocolate, light smoke and a hint of coffee with a lingering lightly bitter finish.

Bottle from cbkschubert; light coffee and cocoa nose; transparent dark walnut with a medium and long-lasting, glass-lacing tan head; flavor of coffee and roasty malt in a light-medium body.

12 oz bottle-pours a fizzy, foamy tan head with a black with red tint color. Aroma is chocolate, coffee dark malt and milky. Taste is chocolate, coffee, dark malt with some bitterness. Chocolate aftertaste. OK carbonation.

12 oz bottle. Nice black pour with a decent head. Aromas were chocolate and some coffee, but a little hard to pick up. Flavors were typical porter, but somewhat thin and faded quickly. Not bad, OK.

Rich, dark brown appearance with a large, dense head and good lacing. Subdued aroma blossomed as it warmed, malty (but not sweet), earthy, with a hint of chicory. Medium bodied mouthfeel, creamy texture, modestly carbonated. Woodsy, roasted malt taste, some bitterness, with a fairly long lasting finish.
