Commercial Description:
The perfect robust porter: The sharp bitterness of the black malt sits nicely within the overall malty sweetness. Full bodied with a medium hop bitterness.

Six different malts are combined to create this complex Robust Porter. Perle and Willamette hops are added to fashion the perfect balance for which the Ten Pin is renowned.

Rich, dark brown appearance with a large, dense head and good lacing. Subdued aroma blossomed as it warmed, malty (but not sweet), earthy, with a hint of chicory. Medium bodied mouthfeel, creamy texture, modestly carbonated. Woodsy, roasted malt taste, some bitterness, with a fairly long lasting finish.

Bottle: Dark brown color with a light brown head. Bitter sweet chocolate and alchol aroma. Strange flavors for a porter -- sour, root beer barrels and day old Foldger’s coffee. It has kind of weird zing zang to it and leaves you wondering what is up. Anyway, thanks BuckeyeBoy for bringing this back from CO.

12 oz bottle Pours out a light black almost. Topped off with a nice light tan head. A little coffee to this. Over all ok.

Bottle Pours a clear and very dark brown with redish tint on the edges. Modest fine creamy tan head. Fine sheeting lading. Aroma is dark roasted, some chocolate, vanilla, leather and pitted fruit. Flavor is mostly smokey and with a sour thin bite. Easy on the hops butr a lingering bitterness at the end.

Bottle - black as can be. Slight hints of brown around the edges. Very little head. What there is is beige. Strong malt aroma with hints of roastiness. Big aroma for a porter. Maybe a tad thin, but not near as bad as some are rating, IMHO. Rich and roasty. A combination of chocolate and coffee. I like it.

Very dark beer with reddish colored edges this beer looks like a porter, all right. Tastes like a good one, too. Some coffee is evident as is a light taste of bread. A small zing adds some zest but this is a nice beer and not really much more than that.

Well, it’s a porter - so its got that going for it, but ultimately I wasn’t that impressed. Poured a decent cola color with a bit of tan head. A little malt in the nose and mostly chocolate and malt in the mouth, not much bitterness, a little watery.

Pours a dark orangish brown color. Aromas of bread, chocolate, and a hint of coffee. Flavor is kind of weak for a porter. Touch of caramel and chocolate in the flavor.
