A damn good porter. I actually drank it from the bottle which I know is a bit of a beer no no but it was still very good. Nice chocolate aroma and flavor. Porters are a tough style for me to judge...I always want to lump them into the stout category...but this one is very good. Nice and roasty but not too heavy.

A friend sent me a bottle and I looked at the silly label and thought that this can’t be very good. Boy, was I ever wrong. Great, great flavor and finish. One of the better domestic porters that I have tasted.

Exceptional looking for a porter. Nearly pitch black with a nice lace and a nice head.
Aroma is dry and roasty with coffee, chocolate, burnt wood and some fruits.
Roasted malts are dry on the palate. Chocolate, caramel, subtle coffee and lightly hopped.

Bottle from Chip’s in Kill Devil Hills, NC. Pours to a very dark brown with a quickly dissipating tan head. Nose is all malt, very roasty and caramel. Tastes like dark chocolate, caramel and coffee. Better than I was expecting after reading some of the other reviews on here. Medium-full bodied with a medium-quick finish. Very tasty,

This is an interesting porter. Like a dark, fruity ESB almost. Molassas and caramel notes linger. Fruityness again. Fresh tasting. A little flat, but tasty.

In the bottle. Pours a dark dark brown with a heavy beige head. Aroma is an enticing roasted chocolate. Don’t chill this beer! Drink it at room temperature. This is a very flavorful chocolate malt tasting ale. Body is medium, not too thick and not too thin. This might be one of the best balanced porters I’ve had in a while.

Wow, I really liked this one. Great slightly roasty, coffee, chocolate aroma, rich full bodied and very drinkable palate. A beer to aspire too in my opinion. Thanks Beer Masons, for bringing thisone into Australia!
