Flavor was watery at first. Not till the end did some rosted malty flavor appear for taste. Ok but not the best. frankenkitty (1903), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Oct 4, 2005 Dark brown with a blackberry glow, a slim tan head, and bowleriffic label art! Weak aromas held a burnt nuttiness that carried through into the malted flavor. Sourness to finish in a thin and wet mouthfeel. Simply O.K.

I don’t find it particularly malty, chocolaty or sweet and it is a bit too hoppy for a porter. Never the less it is a pretty good tasting brew. To me it suffered rating wise by not tasting much like a porter OhioDad (2491), Hilliard, Ohio, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 11, 2007 12oz bottle via trade with cbkschubert - Thanks Craig - Pours black with a short tan head that fizzes back to a thin layer. Aromas of burnt malts, slight coffee, and a little bit of hops. Flavor is mostly roasted and burnt malts, but some coffee there and slight chocolate. Medium body with a dry finish. I’ve seen much more robust robust porters. This was rather thin.. Ughsmash (4103), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Feb 25, 2008 Bottled. Poured darker reddish-brown with some sediment floating around and very little head developing. The aroma picked up darker chocolate and molasses with a touch of smoke and wet grains.. warmth brought out some cola.. not bad. The flavor had roasty caramel and darker chocolate at the core with a light coffee bitterness surrounding.. wet grains and sweet caramel on the finish. Light-bodied for the style with low carbonation that didn’t suit it well.. non-offensive, but nothing really good going on. troyc (1175), Lubbock, Texas, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jan 24, 2008 (Bottle) Pours a brown color with a fluffy off-white head. Dusty aroma includes some weak toffee and dark grains. Taste is very similar, with a light roast towards the finish. Average mouthfeel and carbonation. Actually a well balanced beer, but a little bit too thin and lacking some of the extra flavor that would have made this pretty good. SynergyXJ (506), Blacksburg, Virginia, USA

Flavor follows, bit stronger though. Pretty much a slightly below average porter. ksigty (107), Scottsdale, Arizona, USA
