3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
12oz Bottle. The pour was a murky dark brown with an average (1-2 finger) light brown frothy head that receded down to a medium film and large collar thus creating good runny lacing.
The aroma was on the mild side with a roasted dark bread malt, light resin hops and a sweaty yeast along with notes of milk chocolate and coffee.
The taste was lightly roasty and somewhat sweet with a touch of chocolate from the onset, progressing with a light bitterness and a nice note of coffee towards the finish. The flavor lasted an average time proceeding the swallow with a slight bitter roastiness left behind.
Mouthfeel was a few shades below medium in body with a thin watery texture and a soft carbonation.
Overall I found this brew to be rather thin for a Porter, although it was quite flavorful and very easy going down...

I had this at Global Brew. Pours black with a brown head. Taste chocolate, roasted malt, coffee. I thought this was so so. I would skip this in the future.

Bottle @ home, picked up at Wilburís Fort Collins. Pours a dark brown appearance with a brown head. Roasty malty, coffee, light anise, fairly herbal, a touch fruity aroma. Slightly acidic, chocolate, coffee, slightly burnt flavor. Not a big fan of this one.

I like it but not blown away. Decent taste of chocolate and coffee in the roasted malts and a faint smooth freshness from the hops. Not a bad porter.

Not a bad beer. I would take this beer bowling with me. Iím not real big on the taste of strong alcoholic beer so this one is good to me. Its not my favorite beer ever but honeslty I donít think I have tasted my favorite beer yet. Not sure why they call it a ten pin porter because after I drink one I feel like I only hit maybe seven pins. So I am renaming this beer the seven pin porter. It leaves you wanting about three more pins. God Bless the beer drinkers of the word and donít forget to chew your big red when you are done.
