plovmand (440), Helsinge, Denmark Jul 22, 2008 Bottle. Pours cloudy yellow with a medium white head. Fruity and hoppy nose. Flavour is pretty hoppy with a good malt base. Much better than the usual mainstream pilseners. Plimmer (221), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jul 22, 2008 Bottle 50cl. Orange/amber hazy body with a medium size off white head leaving some laces. Fresh hops in the nose. Hops, malt and a little sweet caramel dominates the body. Bitter finish. Easy drinking but not that complex. Mogwai (153), Askeby, Denmark Jul 8, 2008 Bottle. Aroma of hops and malts. Flavor is much of the same with some fruit as well. Just about decent. mybestfriend (246), Gothenburg, Sweden Jul 3, 2008 Bottle. Pours a golden (a bit hazy) colour with a white head. Aroma is some malty caramel and hops. The flavour also has notes of malty caramel and hops but is also a bit fruity. Quite boring. KnutAlbert (2133), Oslo, Norway Jun 11, 2008 Bottle from Damsgaard, Fredrikshavn.
I’m not sure we needed another Danish pilsener, but here we go, soft flavour, easy drinking. Rather thin, some nice bitterness in the finish, but this is brewed to offend no one. Probably a best seller in the Skagen harbour in July and August!
